There were critics saying at the time, that if Elvis would stop moving on stage no one would go to see his concerts, needless to say, he proved them all wrong. The broadcasted one that I was at he had his American Eagle white suit on, 1 yellow lei, red/white lei n red silk scarf. He Had No Mistakes At All. His focus in this concert was more on vocals. Did you catch that last note. Also his performance suit was encrusted with actual jewels. At a rehearsal concert the day before he threw the cape of this suit into the audience. It weighed 75 lbs and was worth a fortune. That makes movements a little harder.

Elvis was mesmerizing. You are drawn in and just stare at him. His vocals and stage presence are phenomenal, not to mention he was absolutely beautiful 😍 💜

Some songs Elvis wanted taken more seriously. On this particular performance effort was intended on the song and especially the ending vocal fireworks. My understanding Is he wanted to focus more on vocals rather than physical dynamics in this concert. No doubt this was motivated by his attire which was encrusted with actual jewels. The Cape alone weighed 75 lb.s

This is from The rehearsal for the first satellite concert The Aloha Concert. I’ve been an Elvis fan for about 50 yrs. I’m 55 and I listen to him daily, I was introduced to his music by my older sister, who died when I was 4 so my Mom played his records to sooth me, I have never stopped. Elvis just makes you feel the song, you truly feel that he is singing to you, there is just something that you can’t explain...

This I believe is from the dress rehearsal 2 days prior to the via satellite performance...Elvis was nervous about it...so his approach was just sing the songs straight forward and not move distractingly too much around on stage...remember this was going to be shown to over 40 different countries.

Funny you should mention binge worthy, I start sat mornings watching and listening to Elvis and the next thing I know it's evening!
