I remember when this came out. I was amazed by her incredible voice but I was impressed by her androgynous look. She’s one of the pioneers of that look and she captures it so beautifully. Amazing voice still!

lol You're always leading the witness. How is Crys supposed to guess frogs and lily pads? 😂 This song was a huge breakout hit for them. The video really made an impact as well. Back then it wasn't common for a woman to have such short hair and then bright orange. They really made a splash.

I did a week in a studio with Annie back in the 80s. She's really down to earth & very sweet. She made me a few cups of tea when I was busy laying down some keyboard parts. We did spend a lot of time giggling & joking about. Great talent and a great human being. ♥️

There’s so many great songs they and Annie as a solo artist. Here’s a couple: “Thorn In My Side”, “Who’s That Girl?”, “Missionary Man” (** This video is badass!) “Would I Lie to You?”, “Love Is A Stranger” Annie Lennox solo: “Why”, “Little Bird”, “No More I Love You’s”….basically every song she sings is gorgeous ! Her ‘Nostalgia’ album with classic covers is amazing !

Whether you hear more Annie Lonnox on her own, or Eurythmics as a duo, you can't go wrong with ANY song selection. She played Symphony Hall in Boston to promote her 'Dark Road' release (amazing song AND album) and I was lucky enough to get tickets. Her voice is more than an instrument unto itself, but also a harmonious joining of all that is Annie Lennox. Glad you found her.

I saw them LIVE with 40 000 people behind us in Montreal 1988. Amazing band, both doing their own thing now, Annie has had lots of hits since their break up, which was mutual.

The fun thing for me is the first kind of synthesizer they used!! The start of all synthmusic that came in the eighties. Historical almost!! Done so much for music!! This was their big breakout hit in '83, along with that official video made them a worldwide sensation. Vocals are all Annie and synthesizers for both. Try MISSIONARY MAN or WOULD I LIE TO YOU? Eurythmics did most of their recording and touring between 1981 and 1989. They recorded 8 albums during that time, and recorded a charity album in 1999, entitled "Peace", and went on tour that year to promote it. Annie Lennox has recorded six solo albums, and three of them are cover albums (including a Christmas-themed album). Eurythmics are once again nominated for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. They are among the top five recipients of fan votes this year, so they may finally get inducted later in the year.

"Cold" is one of Annie's most beautiful & emotional ballads. Curiously enough, it's one of the songs Demi Moore strips to in the movie "Striptease". But it worked. Really lovely song worth hearing.💙☮💙

Nowadays it may not seem so revolutionary for a woman to cut nearly all her hair & color it orange, but back in the 80's this was unheard of. When Annie did it...well it was the kind of thing that was jaw dropping.
