Her full name is Faouzia Ouihya, she's originally from Morocco but lives in Canada. She's singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She is amazing and very talented. She plays piano, guitar and violin and speaks 3 languages (arabic, english and french) She usually puts many influences of her origin in her music, mainly in his voice with several runs.

I came across her on YT three months ago and she has quickly become one of my favorites. Her voice is so angelic, yet so powerful. There’s something about her vocals that hits you at the emotional level. Your eyes and ears are glued to every performance of hers. She is a vocal powerhouse! This song and You Don’t Even Know Me are my favorite songs that I play over and over.

Faouzia is one of my favorite singers, her range, her oriental runs, her dark timbre... 👍 You've already reacted to some other of my favorite singers like Lara Fabian, Zhou Shen, Forestella, Aurora, Dimash and Hua Chenyu. To recommend some more: Eivør, Monica Naranjo, Loïc Nottet and if you wanna see one of the best guitarists out there then Marcin Patrzalek is your man!

SO glad you finally got to reacting to Faouzia, she IS amazing! Keep listening and reacting, there’s SO much that she has out there, whether her own, like Tears of Gold or Minefields ft. John Legend (yes, her song that he said yes to being in) or a cover like Middle Child by J. She is certainly the best young songwriter if not the best young singer - both musical construction and lyrics. She won her first songwriting contest in her early teens. Faouzia hasn't been a talent show contestant herself but finalist Daneliya Tuleshova sang 'Tears of Gold"' on "America's Got Talent".

Omg Faouzia is one of my favorite singers, are you kidding me!! ❤️ So glad you've checked her out! Please check Bad dreams, Elon, Minefields, Exothermic, You don't even know, Don't tell me I'm pretty... You'll love them🤩 Her range (btw it's more extended than Billie's one from what we've heard + they both have a very distinct sound, I would say Faouzia is way more powerful and straightforward with her tone compared to Billie's, although both are incredibleee and insanely talented) and power are incredible, truly such an inspirational singer❤️ and the fact that she's just 22 is just... aaah mind-blowing!! She is Canadian Moroccan, that's why you can hear a lot of the typical riffs and runs in a lot of her songs :)

You gotta listen to her other stuff, shes amazing. I highly suggest Heart's Grave, Anybody Else, and Hero. Even the non-acoustic version of Tears of Gold is great. What an utterly delightful reaction video! Your enthusiasm was such fun to see, thank you for getting so excited about good music and putting more joy into the world!!! :) I love Faouzia's singing and I'm glad you do, too. I know you will be deluged with further recommendations -- my opinion is that she is always most incredible when singing live in stripped down acoustic performances, I prefer those to her commercially produced pop versions of her songs. (The fact she writes and composes all her own work is also super impressive). Anyway, whenever you're in the mood to listen to more of her stuff, some of my favorites are Bad Dreams (Stripped), it's a song about struggling with anxiety and there's a fierce, emotional power in the way she blazes through the chorus in a way that sounds almost like a primal scream; her cover of Sting's "Desert Rose" is really beautiful, it's a song that allows her to show off the Arabic-influenced vocal trills and dexterity of her voice, she's performed it several times but my favorite version is the TikTok Concert version; I also love the version of "How It All Works Out" that she sang live at the Festival du Voyageur in Canada. Anyway, thanks again for such a heartfelt and lovely reaction, it was really fun to see you get excited over her singing. I have a ton of admiration for her talent, too.

If you think you're blown away by this song ... well then you're in for a treat coz though this song is GOLD, her other stuff are PLATINUM! Check her other stripped songs (you don't even know me - how it all works out - bad dreams - this mountain - born without a heart) also her covers of other singers (middle child - blue da ba dee) add to that, her live performance of (Elon - desert rose). You can also check her music videos and lyric videos as well (puppet - hero - exothermic- R.I.P love - don't tell me I'm pretty - solie - the road) and her song with John Legend (Minefields). She also did a song with Kelly Clarkson called (I dare you)the Arabic version. She writes all her songs and arranges them herself. She plays the piano like a pro, the violin and the guitar. She speaks and sings in 3 languages and when she was younger she won the international songwriting competition; the largest songwriting competition in the world. And to answer your question she's Canadian/Moroccon. She was born in Morocco but moved to Canada when she was 1. She can sing in higher tones than this song and even lower. She can sing in whistle tone as well. Her vocal range is C3 to G5 in mixed voice and A6 in whistle tones. She's a mezzo-soprano.

Oh are you in for some great singing this young lady is phenomenal her voice is pitch perfect you should here her version of Blue by Eiffel 65. It is beyond epic. Puppet or Bad Dreams Faouzia is Morccan Canadian singer her pipes are out of this world. She was discovered on TIK TOK but she is also a engineer. Climbing up the mountain or you don't know me. The timing on this reaction is great - I've been listening to some of my favourites of her songs all afternoon at work. 😆 Some of my favourites are My Heart's Grave (underappreciated song, in my opinion), this one, Bad Dreams (stripped), and You Don't Even Know Me (stripped).
