Grohl is a gosh darn proper rockstar. There aren’t many of those about anymore. Stacked Actors is my fave Foo Fighters track. It’s an album track so gets slept on a lot.

Foo Fighters are my husband’s favorite band. We’ve seen them in concert so many times and they are awesome live. This year marks their 25th anniversary as a band. They had a tour planned but COVID stopped that. Their song Best of You was done by Prince at his Super Bowl Halftime performance. A lot of sports use the Foo Fighter song My Hero. You can’t go wrong with Foo Fighters.

The song I'd love you to check out is New Orleans is Sinking. 2 years ago the lead singer was dying from brain cancer but wanted to do one last concert. It was broadcast live across the country in every pub, theater and on T.V as a way to say good bye. It was bitter sweet. Having said that ...I think you'll dig that song! Highly recommend watching Foo Fighter's docuseries Sonic Highways. For each song on their album, of the same name, they went to a different city, interviewed ground breaking musicians based in each city, made lyrics from the transcripts of the interviews, and incorporated the unique sound of each city, invited guest singers and musicians for the respective cities and recorded in historical sound studios in each city. The amount of music history and appreciation in that single series is mind blowing.

It made a huge impression, when the wall explodes, that first time seeing it together with the energy of the song I was just in awe... Not really a fan of their other music but this song I can play on repeat for a very long time and still after so many years... And every single time the moment of impact is chillingly amazing and so pure. Honest. ... All this would not have happened if I would have heard it on the radio for the first time.... I just happened to change the channel when they announced the song when it was played for the first time on TV, on MTV! Many years ago already!
