FREEDOM '90 is a must-listen, but you need to (as you always do) check out the history of the music video before you watch it to see why George doesn't appear in it. I was a fashion photographer in the '80's and blasted FREEDOM '90 during shoots, as the models loved it because the video featured the biggest supermodels of that era.

Careless Whisper is probably his biggest or best known song and VERY worth checking out. I Want Your Sex was fun and Faith is also really nice. George Michael was an incredible singer (and songwriter and producer) and even more incredible person. A lot of people don't know that and it's a shame.

His duet with Aretha Franklin "I Knew You Were Waiting" was a big hit and worth a listen.

It's an autobiographical song, watch his video for Faith first and at least one Wham! video to put the lyrics into better context) Monkey Praying For Time Spinning The Wheel, great jazzy number with a powerful message about HIV/AIDS. Somebody To Love (from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. He KILLED it. ) Outside (Personally love this one just for the sheer balls shown by making a song about his own arrest) White Light (Which to be honest, since his death, breaks my heart every single time, as does Last Christmas) Waiting For That Day Older Heal The Pain I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) his duet with Aretha Franklin. (He was a powerful duet partner. This song is pure PASSION. Absolutely beautiful lyrically, too--pulls at my heartstrings every time. The whole album is fire, but may I suggest the title song "Faith" for your next George Michael song. It's more upbeat and quite unique, very catchy and enjoyable.

How can you NOT have heard of George Michael? He was famous with the pop group Wham! in the 80s and they had a big hit with songs like "Everything She Wants" and "Careless Whisper". George Michael unfortunately died on December 25, 2016. But how can you not have heard of it? It was on the news and all over the tabloids..

Jeeze the 80's was a great time to be young and free. The music was the soundtrack of my life....simply sublime

I love Salvo’s reactions😅. He’s so unique in his mannerisms and quirks. And as a huge GM fan who’s half from Egypt and half from Arabia, I was just as surprised by the Egyptian music intro/outro.

That was something fantastic, out of the world when I heard him singing FatherFigure and Freedon - when I bought Vinils in 1993(I was 16)... and then I sang with him for 4 years and studied every aspect of his singing. It is complicated and genius. I also became a favourite in karaoke and then attended to vocal competitions quite successfully.

If you decide to listen to other songs by him, then I recommend you choose a song from the MTV Unplugged concert. I personally find his live versions even better. Try his cover version of the Bonnie Raitt classic "I Can't Make You Love Me" or the cover version "Going To A Town" originally by Rufus Wainwright. Simply awesome.

Favorite GM song is Outside his response to his arrest for Solicitation in California back in the 90s, which caused him to come-out. The video is his giving a middle finger to the prude-iness of society. My favorite GM album though is "Songs from the Last Century" where is shows his voice with Standards and a cover of Police's "Roxanne".

George is Greek, so he introduced many Mediterranean touches, from Spanish flamenco guitar to hints of Arabic and African sounds. his production was ALWAYS exquisite. He's MUCH MUCH better than most people realized. All his solo albums were absolutely top notch.

Agreed. It's actually better than Elton's original, and that must have been a very hard to achieve.

This and his other videos during this time are why ladies from the 90’s feel betrayed. He made us believe he was straight when he didn’t have to (who do you think was buying his music?). Not taking away from his voice, I still dance my ass off to his tracks, but he tarnished his own image for fame. Sadly he never recovered from the criticism.
