I think she ranked 38 on Forbes' list of the best paid singers in the world, which is crazy considering she sings in German and markets basically only to three countries.
I was surprised when I heard a song what’s she wanted sing for real - not mainstream - what a voice. It was a duet. I didn’t love her songs either, but after that wow. @klio9611 schlager is NOT the same as german pop music. Helene fischer, Beatrice Egli etc are schlager artist. Adel tawil or Marc forster are german pop music. Not comparable 🤷♀️
@@bdeath1989 I wrote "that kind of 'schlager' is German pop". Some Germans show their prejudice when hearing the word "schlager". Like the first post: "schlager. its like folklore or traditional music". Do you really think that this Fisher song is "like folklore or traditional music"? That's ridiculous. Sarah is American and for her it is pop. She has open ears and does not follow strict German categories which define "schlager" as the lowest possible level of music which therefore could never be called pop. But pop is not a quality mark, it is simply a sort of music. Just try to hear at that song as If you had never heard it before. The song may not be your cup of tea (it isn't mine either), but you can't deny that this has many features that define "pop".
@@klio9611yeah, well it's not folklore actually??? It's defined by simple, instrumental melodics with german lyrics that often follow a emotional and optimistic theme. Atemlos falls definitely into that category 🤷♀️ I also don't know where you thought that I apparently hated in schlager??
In deutsch gesungen heißt es, dass ist nur Schlager! Würde sie es in englisch singen, heißt es POP!! … Schau dich doch mal in der Welt um, denn diese ART „POP“ Lieder singen sehr viele Sänger!! ABER IN … ENGLISCH!!
Gute Stimme! Leider hat ihr Management sie dazu verdonnert diese seichte Tralala Musik zu interpretieren! Fast Food für die Ohren! Als sie begriff was ihr Management so an "künstlerisch Wertvollem" von ihr erwartete, brach sie tatsächlich in Tränen aus! 😢Aber kommerzieller Massengeschmack geht eben über anspruchsvolle Kunst! Leider!
