I so aware video on YT the other day. This must have been right before guns and roses blew. Singing Don't cry from 1985. That's what it has in the description. Two things stood out. First thing is you can hear a lot of chatter and people just talking to each other like they do it bars but not even really paying attention to the band. I was thinking if these people knew this band was going to blow up 6 months down the road or whatever, they'd be acting different. Second thing that called me was the year which means they kept don't cry sitting on the shelf for years before they released it. This is all before my time so I'm just going by what you guys are saying. November rain was written when he was 16 but then he must have changed a little bit about it because I've heard it has something to do with his first wife, everly. So that rare video you can find on RU-vid and it's so crazy because these people are not even paying attention behind the cameraman. They're having their little conversations and you can honestly hear what they're talking about and paying no attention to guns n' roses singing Don't cry on this tiny stage. Trust me when you see this video you're going to know what I mean when I say this tiny stage. Another crazy thing is the track actually wasn't that different when it was out of a studio compared to what I saw. More solos but check it out and I'm pretty sure that bar was on the sunset strip. Again, I wasn't around back in that time yet so I don't know anything other than what I see read or been told. If you got a chance to actually see these guys back in those and then you were really lucky. I know they just finished a tour recently. Axl Rose voice is shot

The suspense was killing me. I almost died during that pause before the switch up. 😂 Hard rock/heavy metal songs are never pleasant all the way through. Bad stuff almost always happens. Even the ones that sound pretty are usually about death or something. In the whole history of music videos, I think this is the 2nd best one after "Thriller". Masterpieces!!!
Can’t go wrong with the LEGENDS Guns N Roses. Amazing Masterpiece of a song. Came out in 1991. The music video is amazing. Like 1.6 billion views lol. I’d recommend the Terminator Music Video “You Could Be Mine” by Guns N Roses. 🔥 Song and 🔥 Music Video.
Every single time I hear this song, and I've been listening to it since day it was released back in 1991. I still get goosebumps from Slash's guitar solo!! It's definitely do one of my favorite solo's of all time.

The band paid for this out of their own money because the record label did not think it would work 30 years later it became the most viewed video on youtube. Just goes to show how brilliant minds think.
Part of a trilogy. Don’t Cry - November Rain - Estranged. All AMAZING songs. Axl Rose (Singer) wrote these songs about his relationships. Actually Dont Cry is from the perspective of the woman, Erin Everly, Axl’s former GF. But these songs are super deep. The death of the woman represented love dying in the relationship. You should check out the other two songs. Also what’s crazy is the super model in this video and the don’t cry video at the time was Axl Roses Girlfriend.
Fall 1992 kids around my neighborhood looped this album on repeat, we never get tired of it. The year of the Guns n roses... the year after was Nirvana's..🙂
Estranged is my second favorite song and video behind this one. If you liked this video, pleaseeeee do "Estranged" next. It's another epic, storytelling like video with mind blowing visuals. If this song caught u off guard, we GNR fans were in shock when we heard it back in 1991, expecting Axl Rose raising hell 🔥🔥 but we get this Elton John -inspired side of him... an epic piano ballad. This was a huge budget music video, and the model was Axl's then-fiancée Stephanie Seymour (she was also in the video for "Don't cry") but they split up before a Part 3 music video for the song 'Estranged' was filmed without her. We've all seen rock & metal bands pull off a 180 deg musical change at times... Kiss putting out a piano ballad 'Beth' ... Metallica plunking acoustic love song 'Nothing else matters' ... Queen going disco w/ 'Another one bites the dust' ... Rainbow having pop rock hits 'Stone cold' & 'Street of dreams' ... Radiohead transitioning into moody electronic music w/ 'Karma police'... etc.
There's a guitar solo in every song. Axl Rose and slash are the best together it's like their voice and guitar are made for each other. Keep them coming you'll see. If you want to do old school hit up Mr brownstone / my Michelle/out to get me if you want to do newer stuff some more mellow stuff you got don't cry and estranged which I think is an extremely underrated song they do. Can also do rocket Queen live from Tokyo that's awesome! Just keep them coming you'll see best band ever especially live. If you can ever get Paradise City from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert you'll see
I used to play sick from school so I could watch MTV to see this video. When MTV switched from almost completely airing music videos to reality shows, teen tv series, and documentaries, during school hours and late night/early morning was when they would air music videos and /or during Beavis and Butt-Head. School hours were more expendable then sleep hours...
There's also the visual of the white roses being thrown at the wedding and turning red as they land on the casket, then later they are slowly fading to white again as the rain falls on them.

As I'm a lot older than you guys I've seen guns an roses live several times i dont know if you remember market square arena you to be right off Washington st. I've seen over 200 shows there was a great venue for concerts acoustics wear great I worked on the new Pacers facility first concert there was horrible echo was bad they got some of the bugs worked out its better now anyway have agreat day guys hope the new year is nothing but positivity for your family ✌
You should listen to Slash's solo album, the guitar player in this video. He has a song called: By the Sword Off his first solo album, great guitar work, and incredible vocals.

Wow the song brings back a ton of memories. I went to Florida for the summer at the end of 7th grade or 8th grade. The song came out that summer it was one hell of a summer. A lot of Firsts that summer that's all I can say I guess✊🏼✌🏼🔥
I think for axk to take this on was pretty gutsy because he has a shrill vocal known for his screaming which was epic, his trade mark as one of the greatest frontmen to ever walk the stage in the late eighties. So it brave to take on a powerballad behind a piano not a place you usually find him. As for his voice, maybe not a def of beautiful but I think of the emotion he put inside of it and it's beautiful to me considering that he wrote it some 10 years before it came out then put slash in front, his epic eternal wingman and produced the greatest power ballad ever written. Axl was ahead of all of them, more cerebral, a the rest of them were partying, Axl designed and crafted their band. It made him stand out, set him apart and that did cause the break up of guns. But as much as the guys hated use your illusion, the most experimental record guns and roses did. It gave Axl the freedom to write exceptional songs that gave g and r their success. Legendary they became and it killed that band. November rain, Axl masterpiece and ah ha moment remained, at over one billion views on RU-vid in 2022, over 20 years after its release, Axl did achieve his dream.

I've seen a lot of reaction videos and I noticed a lot of people have been missing out ...wow ... yeah and Slash the guitarist is one of my few guitar players I've liked....he lets his notes breathe and then can explode into a solo with precision doesn't hardly make a mistake and I've noticed he bends his notes a lot so he doesn't actually have to hit other frets he just bends up to the next note or bends from holding the string up then releasing it back down especially on that G----String lol and he does all of it while smoking a cigarette 🚬 they say smoking is bad for u but if you're stressed smoking is good for you so you can cloud your mind from all the bs in the 🌎 Either type of cigarette left hand or right hand cig. Story behind the music video…he’s Axl’s the entire time the wedding is happening. He’s dreaming because she off-ed herself before they ever even got married. There’s a huge story about it that span’s over 3 music videos. Estranged was supposed to be the last video in the series but, Axl and Seymour (the supermodel in the video) broke up before they filmed Estranged so people never get the entire story. The videos were made from a short story that a man wrote that was a friend of Axl’s. Axl had a girlfriend (in real life, her last name was Everly, I believe) that he never really could have, although, he loved her very much. He could never really have her because he cheated on her every single time they would get back together. Then he would be heartbroken without he when he wasn’t with her. But, he kept doing what he always did over and over again until she couldn’t do it anymore. Well, in the short story that Axl’s friend wrote about Axl & Everly, the girl finally comes to a point in which she off’s herself with a g.u.n in front of him. He wanted to off himself right after, but she had only loaded one bullet. He could’ve had her, the love of his life, the most beautiful person he’s ever known inside and out if he would’ve stopped cheating and stopped the drugs, but he never could. Because of his problems, he lost her forever. The split casket in the video is to cover up the side of her face that was damaged from the g.u.n. They use split caskets in times like that. It’s really a very sad situation. Luckily, the real Everly is still living and never off’ed herself in real life. (More food for thought, Axl wrote the song November Rain before his friend ever wrote the short story, but the short story fit all the songs going out so well that the videos were supposed to tell that story. Also, Axl did write a song for Everly, the short story his friend wrote about their relationship is titled the same as the song. Right now I’m drawing a blank on the title, it’s been along time since this video was released but, you can easily find it if you Google it.
