Great reaction, this is the third original song for HoloMyth (Calli, Kiara, Ina, Gura and Ame), the first one being A Journey of a Thousand Years and the second a Halloween song called Myth or Treat, this one was released the day of their second anniversary. Also i wanted to point out the part at 5:53 of the video when each of the five girls say a sentence before going into the final chorus; those lyrics are very strong and specially connected to each of the girls: Calli: "Defiant to the End i'll Stay Killing to sing" - This is a reference to her past as an underground rapper in Japan, struggiling to make a name for herself, always pushing on, learning from her mistakes and improving till reaching the point where she's is now, never giving up, it's also a promise to keep making music in the future, which is her dream, also it's related to her lore as the apprentice of the Grim Reaper Kiara: "I'll dance in burning embers unyielding your love's given me wings" - This refers to her past trying to be an idol in Japan for many years, but failing everytime till the point where she believed she would never make it, but in the end she got into Hololive fullfilling her dream, and she mentions the love her fans have given her, since she had a rough start and a lot of hate at the beginning, but she gained a very loyal and caring fanbase at the same time, also all of this ties with her lore as a Phoenix, and the dancing part is because she's a great dancer, the best in HoloMyth and one of the best in Hololive Ina: "While learning to remember the good times we bring" - This one is because Ina said that before knowing Hololive she was in a low point as an artist (she's amazing at drawing) and had lost motivation to continue, but when she found Hololive as a fan, it inspired her to get back into it and keep pursuing her passion, and that's the main force behind her joining Hololive, she wanted to inspire and help more people, and to help everyone have a good time, as others had done with her before, also ties into her lore of being a priestess of the ancient ones, and always carrying a book with a lot ot knowledge about them Gura: "Our ocean's finally full of life" - This is because Gura stated that before joining Hololive she was always feeling alone, and she got into Hololive so that she wouldn't feel like that anymore, and now she is the most subscribed Vtuber in the world, and she has found some amazing friends in Holomyth, also ties into her lore of being a shark from Atlantis Ame: "Set every vital piece in motion now we write" - Ame has always been the tech masterof Myth, helping all the girls with their problems, and also has been one of the most creative vtubers out there, setting a lot of trends and always coming up with new ideas, specially when they couldn't do the big things the other Hololive girls could (3D Debuts, 3D Streams, 3D Concerts and such) because they were not in Japan, so she came up with a lot of ideas to have their own versions of those big events they couldn't do, she has always been one of the main driving forces behind most of their big projects

Yeah Gura's voice is so beautiful in this. She was always a great singer, but GOD DAMN. It really is a great song, and a great message. And credit to Watson in this as well, she has been working hard on everything, but also singing stuff. And she nailed it. Two songs I would highly suggest checking out after Non-Fiction: 1) Journey Like a Thousand Years by HoloMyth - another song again performed by these 5 girls and again with lyrics written by Calli (featuring the trackmaker behind Gura's Reflect) 2) UnAlive by Calli - another song in a similar style with lyrics again written by Calli and track again by Elliot Hsu

"Journey of a thousand years" another holo-myth collab song, it came before "Non-Fiction" and is also written by Calli for them all, it is also an amazing song and you should give it a go. Also I think everyone wanted you to react to all of the 1 gen en girls before these got recommended. I am still going to put Minato Aqua's song Aqua Iro Palette here as a recommendation. Ngl I got hit HARD in my heart just by Gura's opening line of the song. Some of this is even difficult to explain but this track breaks me down emotionally. It's SO GOOD & Im so proud of them🥹🥺 I have problems grasping the idea of being proud of these women I've never Met at all.. but Im proud

I love this song. One of my favorite sets of lyrics Calli has penned. Just pure poetry. And the girls perform it so well. There are definitely more group songs to consider. Myth has two other group originals, Myth or Treat, their cheeky Halloween song, and Journey Like a Thousand Years. If this song is more about their passion as creators, that one is more about their bonds with each other. Other generations have put out killer group songs too though. Gen 1 (Aki, Mel, Haachama, Matsuri, Fubuki) has Plasmagic Seasons. Gen 3 (Marine, Pekora, Noel, Flare, Rushia) has Interact Fantasia Gen 4 (Watame, Towa, Coco, Luna, Kanata) has Kiseki Knot Gen 5 (Lamy, Nene, Botan, Polka) has Blue Clapper Gen 6 (Laplus, Chloe, Iroha, Koyori, Lui) has Jouya Repaint. EN Gen 2 (Bae, Mumei, Kronii, Fauna, Sana) has Rise ID Gen 1 (Moona, Risu, Iofi) has HI-15 Gen 0, Gen 2, Gamers and ID Gens 2 and 3 do not yet have full generational group songs. There are of course many other group songs. ‘Sub-units’ often are formed featuring assorted members who record songs together and there are also big ensemble songs some times featuring like a dozen members. The ones listed are just the ones sung specifically by a single generation together like the Myth songs.

Another song that shows some of Calli's range is Unalive, the first song of hers I listened to. When she recorded it she had a hard time hitting those high notes, but with more training and practice she hit them like a pro in her live show New Underworld Order, the blu-ray of it is great.

Gura did recently got a new outfit, but also this reaction is kinda nicely timed considering Myth is just about now doing their 3D model reveals with a show for each member where they sing songs, show off the new model and have fun with the other Myth members / other hololive talents.

Myth will forever have a very special place in my heart. Now during this time where we finally get all their 3D showcases, its once again time to reflect on how far they truly have come. Yes they had an incredible amount of hype behind them in late 2020, but they worked so extremely hard for them to be here and they worked so extremely hard ever since. They truly are inspiring people.

For collab songs, it's generally uploaded on the channel of the person who led the project! You should definitely react to Journey Like A Thousand Years too (it was released before Non-Fiction)! They both kinda go together, with Journey kinda being about their own personal struggles they've had to overcome prior to Hololive and in Hololive (being restricted by the pandemic), and they also finally all met IRL in June last year after what felt like "a thousand years" And Non-Fiction is kinda describing how they've been uplifted after joining Hololive (Kiara was at her lowest emotionally, Ina's passion for art was burnt out, Ame felt like she lost her purpose in life after someone she cared for passed away, Gura felt like she was riding on fumes, and Calli was so pessimistic towards life) A solo Calli song that's also emotional is Lose-Lose Days, which is basically about her love for her Myth genmates, and Council also has a group original called Rise!

The best summary of this song I feel is each member's line in the bridge before the second chorus (5:52): *Calli: "Defiant 'til the end, I'll stay killing - to sing"* She's had to deal with a bunch of haters who either didn't like her having success - or attacked her for branching out from rap to singing. But she intends to stick with it, haters be damned. *Kiara: "I'll dance in burning embers unyielding - your love's given me wings"* For her, as a small-time entertainer stuck in Japan during Covid lockdowns, Hololive was effectively her last chance at a career in show-biz. Her fans' support helped her out of the self-doubt she had initially. *Ina: "While learning to remember the good times - we bring"* Between the other four myth girls, Ina can seem the least stand-out at first glance (fan-perception disproves that), which makes it hard for her to recognize her own massive impacts on the community. *Gura: "Our ocean's finally full of life"* Her content before Hololive and the surprisingly mature thoughts that sometimes shine through her gremlin-ness suggest she was stuck in a dark mental place before she joined. For example, the girls just RIGHT NOW get to fully show off their official 3D avatars, after 2.5 years - when it's a perk JP talents typically get within the first year. Of course that's not really to blame on the company, which was totally new to operating on a global scale, and the "Myth" girls' explosive success didn't really help them sort things out... But it meant that in many ways, the five girls had to deal with lots of issues to get here - including the fact that they couldn't all meet up together in person until 1.5 years (!) after they debuted, which was the premise to their second original song as a group, "Journey like a Thousand Years". *"Hopeless days are just a part of being free - we wrote it all by heart"* Btw, we're likely to get a live performance of this song in a couple hours, when they have their group showcase for their 3D avatars on the Holo EN channel.

Calli wrote the lyrics to this one as well! chances are that if you see a song on calli's, gura's, ina's, ame's, or kiara's channels that say "holomyth" or just have "myth" in it that its a song with all five of them together. like "myth or treat" their silly halloween song that calli "downed a bottle of vodka and wrote the lyrics in a few hours"

Myth or Treat is a Halloween song of all them and it has the same animator that did Sweet Appetite.

My absolute favorite part of this song is the bridge because it's them speaking and reflecting on themselves personally. Calli: "Defiant 'til the end, I'll stay killing / To sing" Her stubbornness and work ethic are one of her defining qualities. She is never going to stop singing and making music, no matter what people say or what obstacles she comes across, she'll keep pushing forward and making music. Kiara: "I'll dance in burning embers unyielding / Your love's given me wings" This one is straight forward if you are familiar with Kiara's story before Hololive (She was attempting to break through in the underground idol scene, but never got a break. Hololive was her last chance, and she ran with it.), but she's speaking about how the fans have given her this second chance to keep dancing, a phoenix's rebirth. Ina: "While learning to remember the good times / We bring" This is the only one I'm not 100% on what this means for her personally (maybe something private), it seems she's saying that Hololive has shown her how to focus on the positives in her life rather than the negatives, and move forward. Gura: "Our ocean's finally full of life" This line seems self-explanatory and applies to all of them, but I also think that it is more so really specific and personal to Gura, as we see in Reflect. Amelia: "Set every vital piece in motion / Now we write" She is the leader and heart of Myth, the one who innovates and pushes the whole group forward from behind the scenes. All the girls agree that without Ame doing the work she does behind the scenes, a lot of the stuff they are able to do would not have happened. This part is so beautiful and it genuinely makes me tear up every time, I love them so much.

Sooo, for any1 that is new, like Luke over here: HoloMyth is literally Hololive EN's first generation of idols consisting of Calli-Gura-Ame-Ina-Kiara. IRyS is the one who debuted solo as a V-Singer. Then HoloCouncil happened with Mumei-Fauna-Bae-Kronii-Sana. Although, after Sana graduated IRyS has been "adopted" by both of the EN groups. Of course, you have groups like in the other regions like SMOK being the gamers generation of JPs consisting of Subaru-Mio(mama)-Okayu-Korone. ID girls also can be distinguished by the group names like area 15 or holoro instead of their gen number. You also have the guild members being the EN boys or Holostars being their male predecessors. You get the point.

A beautiful song for a wonderful milestone for HoloMyth or Hololive EN as a whole. I really love this song, the vocals and the instrumental, everything. This time I want to recommend the Holostars EN group songs, Top of the World and Always Tied, both songs are great and were released when the group that sang them debuted, respectively. So really early work for them.

I think hololive fans love to see someone who doesn't know anything about vtubers falling into the rabbit hole and being genuinely excited and curious about it because most of us started that way too and probably don't have many people we know in real life to share it with. It's fun to see you learning about all the different members and slowly going from just a guy randomly stumbling onto one video to a fan!

You might be seeing the '3D showcase' streams. Those are a big deal for Hololive because they are normally done as a reward when a talent hits a certain milestone. But Myths got delayed by 2 years because the streams can only happen at the studio in japan.

A little explanation of HoloMyth, when new Hololive members debut they usually debut as a group (between 3 to 5 members) and are given a name. So Myth is the group name for Calli, Gura, Ina, Ame and Kiara. Its a very normal thing for idols to be in a group so Hololive does that too (except for rare occasions (IRyS) and also early on in Hololives first few years)

This song feels like a call and response to their last full gen song, Journey like a Thousand Years in a way, that song was about how they want to meet each other in person, that they won't give up on their dreams or each other, and... Just _fuck_ dude, it hits hard, the sheer love that permeates every facet of this community and the girls themselves, I couldn't be prouder of them all for how far they've come and what they've done and I can gurantee that I'm one among thousands if not millions that feels the same way. so basically, i was casually scrolling through youtube because i was home sick, and then this song appeared. i haven't heard about hololive before, or any vtubers in general, and the song premiered like 19 minutes ago with about a hundred thousand views already. and then i clicked on it because i was like "ive got nothing better to do" thanks for reacting to the song that pulled me down the rabbit hole. 4 months later, its still nostalgic. Here's a recommendation for 2 other large group songs, the first is also from hololive myth. Journey of a thousand years. For one on the JP side you should listen to Kiseki Knot (キセキ結び), meaning miracle knot. featuring Towa and Watame. All 5 members on the song are part of the fourth generation of hololive JP and one of them (Amane Kanata ) wrote the lyrics. It was written as a farewell to Kiryuu Coco as she was leaving Hololive. it still brings a tear to my eyes a full year later. The original lyrics and the translation both have lines with each member's name woven into the lyrics.

Saw someone recommend Bad End Night. Great cover with a lot of great holoEN, holoID and holostars members. Another good one is Blooming In The Mud cover by Bae and Towa. Both have amazing voices but that cover is amazing and both have mentioned they are super happy with how it turned out. not only is the cover was amazing but the artwork in the video is so beautiful

I think gura is working on music right now she hasn't outright stated it but she has been working with a vocal coach while in JP from my understanding ( and i think she was very much so self taught beforehand) so we should have some more gura songs this year.

I’ll let you glimpse a bit into the past. Back in the latter half of 2020, vtuber was an extremely niche hobby, watched only by those interested in Japanese anime culture. Hololive wasn’t small back then, but it’s tiny compared to the current state. They announced the first generation of their English-speaking vtuber, which was the first Japanese vtuber agency to do so.* It was met with skepticism and anxiety, some even expected it to flop. But when Calli started to rap, the tension got blown away and instead, filled with excitement. Their first few months were not easy, but they endured and eventually, thrived. These girls broke the floodgate and created waves and paths for those who dared to follow. So, for every love and support they get, they totally deserve it. *Some corpos have English speakers before, but it’s not their focus.

About Gura looking so strong...She's an ancient Atlantean who lived in deep seas since before there were humans and can freely move around in depths thatt would crush average humans...my head conon is that she neeeds floaties becauuse her density makes it so she doesn't have the bouyency that us common humans have and thus needs aid. Also she be an apex predator...Hell all girls in Myth are friggin impossibley strong. aside from the shark there's a Phoenix trained in sword and shield combat. (she claims)...first apprentice of the grim reaper...a priestess of an eldritch horror of undeternible age who claims to be human but lclearly isn't..oh and a detective.....who at the press of a button can explore alternate timelines, sumon duplicates of therself from those timelines and generally messes with time... and then we haven't even talked about the council and hope girls...they are equally powerfull if not more so...Hope, Space, Time, Nature, Civilisation and Chaos...

There's a collab song between Pekora and Miko called "PekoMiko Daisensou" (lit. 'PekoMiko's Great War') which was born from the fact that the two of them kept waging war on each other in various games (though most especially in Minecraft). In the earliest Hololive days they were effectively the Tom and Jerry of Hololive. There's the official release on Hololive's main channel, but I'm also going to recommend checking out a video called "[ENG SUB] (CC ON) | Peko Miko Daisensou!! | PekoMiko Song" since that one has lyrics attached to the CC, and therefore makes the whole thing easier to understand and follow.

The thing is that we didn't and wouldn't recommend this until you had experienced each girl individually first. This is a great song and MV by itself, but it is an amazing song when you know each of the girls first.

This is one the many but not so often experienced instances where Holomyth as a group could be considered as IDOLS. This is the kind of song you will want to lose your mind to when you go to an idol concert. A little song that is intimately just for the fans and the idols to share.

As a deep analysis of the lyrics, first they talk about a hidden meaning of the rhyme, wich i tnink is amazing as a storytelling behind the actual lyrics. Then you have some of "By star-lit skies, endlessly writing, Inviting those along" in my perspective it has 2 meanings, one is the hololive members who are perfoming to an audience an trying to get their attention, but also, how watching them may be the inspiration to others to become a vtuber, like it happen in recent times that you have more and more members connecting with their oshis becoming part of hololive. Next is "Though painful, now we move endlessly on, By the light- your spark, Head first, into the dark", and i see this as a way to explain their journey, as Myth (Gura, kiara, calli, ina and ame) being the "first english corporate" vtubers, they had a lot of hardships not knowing what to expect of a new audience, and not having someone to rely instead of themselves, hoping that the few fans keep watching to show their true talents (head first, into the dark). "And when burning flames attack, We will never fade to black", as always, there is people that are against something new, but they don´t fall back, they keep pushing and now vtubing is something incredible in the EN community. I love this song,this song is pretty much a declaration from the girls ,they are accepting who they are and where they are (has being part of Hololive) its about growing and overcoming the difficulties of being part of something bigger than them until that point. The final line from Calli reinforce my idea at 7:23 " And smile,side by side among the stars ,the stars being the branches from Holo JP & ID ,they see them has equals now. This is my favorite song among Hololive Sorry if the write is weird I'm not a English native speaker

There's a method to the order things are getting recommended (more or less) - if you'd done this one early on you would have had no idea who they were and the impact of it would have been less. Also for more Calli range, a good one to look at is UnAlive. She's said the writer literally had her sing as high as she could and then used that.

Not sure if you know or not, but the reason it's these five in particular is because they're an actual group. These five debuted on the same day as the first generation of Hololive English, dubbed 'Hololive Myth'. They're all super close to each other and you can really see how close they've grown together looking at all of the full Myth collabs

Holo Myth is the name of the entire group comprised of these 5 as they all debuted together (they're a "generation" in the same way that like Marine, Flare, Noel, Pekora, and (previously) Rushia are on the Japanese side). Also, yeah, Calli has some incredible range. You should absolutely check out her lead track, "UnAlive", from her album of the same name. She said that the composer for that track literally asked her what her absolute highest note was that she could sing and he included it, lol. So if you want to see the absolute top of her range, that's the one to listen to. This is actually Myth's second original song. Their first is called "Journey of a Thousand Years", a song in which the lyrics have a lot of weight when you consider the fact that, unlike Holo JP and ID where they are all in close enough proximity that they can easily go see each other and hang out whenever they want, Myth as the first group to debut from HoloEN literally had to wait over a year before they could physically be in the same space since they debuted in Sept 2020 during the height of COVID. It's a really emotional song when you take it in context with those circumstances, and really just a beautiful song regardless. I highly recommend checking that one out as well. Before I forget, you mentioned wanting to be the biggest Hololive reaction channel and that reminded me: there's another Holo and Vtuber reaction channel called Velo City, and it's run by a couple of great guys that are also based in the UK. While you're definitely a bigger channel than you (they currently have 76k subs at the moment), they're some genuinely nice guys and well worth checking them out as well. They simp pretty damn hard for Hololive, and I think you'd love their vibe. It'd be awesome to see you guys do something Hololive-related together. Thanks for another great Holo video, dude!

HoloMyth is an amazing group that changed the western vtuber scenery when they debuted. It was a perfect combination of talents and timing. You should watch the compilation of clips of each of the girls, there quite a few out there. Gura, for instance, has the "Gawr Gura experience" video by Morphoduction and many other similar clips by the dloow channel. The song reactions are very entertaining, but if you really want to brunch out to hololive related content, the main clips are the way to go. As aways, thanks for the vid.

"Holo Myth" is the name of the first Hololive English branch of who's the talents 'Gawr Gura, Calliope Mori, Takanashi Kiara, Amelia Watson & Ninomae Ina'nis' all belong to. Almost all of the talents of 'Hololive' & 'Holostars' belong to a 'group' or 'generation', because that's how they're introduced and hired or scouted by the company. An entire group or generation is announced all at once, almost like a 'seasonal release' or something. This is considered their 'official group theme', and really shows a lot of the Myth's progress in their musical talents and how close the 5 are being able to make something as amazing as this! Really hope you get to react to other productions like this showing groups of the talents working together in the future!
