if you want more vsingers i have a list of varied singers that i can recommend you for all sorts of music genres. WWW by Himehina Slowly by Asu 紫電一閃 by Asano Ruri i have 3 here but loads more if you like these.
Moona's first three songs were in Japanese (Ai no Chiisana Uta), Indonesian (Perisai Jitu), and English (High Tide). Her fourth song is also in English (Who's Toxic? It's You) and is _super_ 2000s Avril Lavigne. I think most members have an animated MV too, whether it's a full 2d or 3d MV, or some portion of it is 2d
this song legit is even better live, she performed it when debuting her 3d model, so she could showcase not only her vocals but also her stage presence which was MARVELOUS
As cool as the video for this song is, I feel like this song only reaches its true potential when she performs it live. Moona has a commanding stage presence (possibly from having previously worked as a model) and her doing this song live at the Hololive 3rd Fes concert last year is to me one of the definitive moments in Hololive. Her other songs are also good, my favorite being Who’s Toxic? It’s You. Such a fun song.
Pop Diva of Hololive ID!!! You've seen Calli, Suisei, Towa and now Moona. Please check Perisai Jitu from Moona, it's in Indonesian. And please check Ayunda Risu - Alice&U, she's another member of Hololive ID.
Oh btw, this MV also serves to tell Moona's backstory. So, basically what's going on here is that the Moona we know is a combination of 2 people: Moona, the normal fashion model, and Hoshinova the moona goddess who had been sealed away for a long time. I don't remember the exact details, but she used to be worshiped, then at some point her followers turned on her and sealed her away. Then she managed to escape, and ended up fusing with Moona, thus becoming Moona Hoshinova.
I love Moonmoon. Moona singing High tide live during Holofes2 still sticks to me. Her at Holofes2 really showed ALL sides of Moona. She's a badass on stage as soon the music starts, giving it all, showing off her controle. Yet afterwards she gets so jumpy, so giggly, so dorky and she's so fun to watch.
Moona has a couple of covers for League of Legends music, and this one has the whole Worlds Championship vibe to it. (React to her Perisai Jitu song next with lyrics on, that one is very deep) Thanks for the reaction
Can confirm, only listen to Hololive music. Ok not quite, but honestly you could as with so many members from Hololive and Holostars, there are periods of time where multiple times a day music was released from different talents. And all of it is very well produced!
There's a YT playlist with every Hololive original and cover. It has over 1000 entries now, you could listen to Hololive music for DAYS and not be done xD
5:39 Agree, its a shame that they're not even more famous. That said, in Japan their songs are becoming more mainstream to a certain extent, but yeah i think its a bigger issue in terms of how music in the west is reliant on record deals etc... doesn't really seem to work well with the independent artist model unfortunately. I don't think its even a 'vtuber thing', its more an independent artist on youtube thing. You are right, they have so much talent especially the top girls in Holo.
you should definitely put gawr gura's Reflect on your list as another hololive song reaction eventually. high tide is one of my favorites though, moona does a great job.
You should react to the top songs of each of the talents of Hololive, there's a lot of good stuff the girls put their heart and soul into. You'd be surprised how some of these dorky ladies get awesome production in their AMV's. To get a good sample of their voices, I'd recommend "Shiny Smiley Story" and "Ochame Kinou" (there's multiple versions of Ochame Kinou to reflect the different branches of Hololive, each version showing the ladies that belong to the Japanese, English, and Indonesian branches; might want to watch all 3).
3:22 - AMV are expensive, really. Hundreds of thousands dollars. Even songs are expensive. Indonesian girls can't let thenself such luxurity. Son they hare only one animated MV and few songs (Risu feeds whole her family by herself, Kobo before Holo almost married to escape from starvation). By the way, In Holo a lot of beautiful aniamted MV: Watame - My song Houshou Marine - I'm your treasure box Houshou Marine - マリン出航! Houshou Marine - 美少女無罪♡パイレーツ Gawr Gura - blue horizon! IRyS - Caesura of Despair Hakos Baelz - A Million Miles Away Hololive - HOLOTORI Dance Hololive ALternative - PV1 and PV2
I'm surprised I haven't seen more recs for some of Moona's covers too. Her OG songs are great, but her covers are amazing too. I think my favorite of her covers are her covers for KDA songs like Villain and The Baddest. She was also apart of a Pop/Stars cover over on Hakos Baelz's channel. Also recommend checking out some live concerts or karaokes of the girls too since they're free and pretty amazing too.
I would be extremely grateful if you react to moona - Perisai jitu. One of the most unique song from holo, just remember to turn on sub, there's a littlebit of surprise there
"Disgusting" is a compliment in this context. In some cases in music, you'd call a sound "dirty" when it's made on purpose to create a kind of dissonance or a kind of rumble you'd only get in low frequencies. When you say "disgusting" in this context, you mean that it's beyond dirty, beyond what you expect of a song. It's a really positive comment. I know nothing about music theory though, maybe someone can give a clearer definition below.
If he doesn’t get it by now he’s too far gone 🤣 but on a serious note, “disgusting” is one of the BEST terms to describe a GREAT beat drop. Thank you @yrpsan for clearing that up for him lol
