Risu's a real gem. Easily one of Hololive's most skilled vocalists, but for a long time she never really broke out within the fandom. That's largely because her musical output is pretty scarce compared to many of her coworkers, and her equipment holds her back from showing her full potential... but all of that is due to Risu sending most of her earnings at Hololive to her family to support their livelihoods. Thankfully, this song gave her a huge boost in notoriety - especially after she blew everyone away when she performed it live at her first concert appearance!

Risu's character lore is essentially that there was a forest witch named Ayunda who was persecuted and hunted, and so to avoid her pursuers she stowed her soul away within her familiar, a squirrel named Risu, and through her magic was able to assume a human/squirrel-girl form. She plays this angle up by establishing a kind of split personality, shared-body experience where her deeper voice and more matured personality is Ayunda, and her much higher voice and playful mischief-maker is Risu.

Ayunda Risu has an amazing range and the fans dubbed the lower and mature voice as the Ayunda Voice, and the higher and playful voicr as the Risu Voice. She even did a duet with herself with both of her signature voice ranges.

This song is sorta a dedication to her fans for supporting her and encouraging her to keep on when life was tough. Holo ID used to be a pretty small group compared to holo JP at the time, but since have seen exponential growth and success. I'm so proud of how far they've come.

Within the company, Risu is known as the Celine Dion of Hololive. Her dramatic range give her extreme versatility in any song she sings, including Suisei's Stellar Stellar. Now how about some hard rock? Tokoyami Towa's "My Roar".

9:24 Her voice (and accent) do change here. The character she plays is the fusion of a witch (Ayunda) and her pet squirrel (Risu) into one body. Most of the time, she streams with the Risu voice (a very high pitch voice with an exaggerated Indonesian accent), but occasionally dips into the Ayunda voice (a much deeper sultry voice with a more neutral accent). A majority of this song is done in the Ayunda voice, but Risu comes out at the end starting with "Please hear me" as she releases the letter to the wind in order for Risu to thank the fans as well. 10:00 Both Ayunda and Risu sing the final line together as a duet.

Fun fact! Take the first letter of each line from the first two verses and chorus and you get AYUNDA RISU HOLOLIVE INDONESIA.

risu comes from a rather rough background, with lots of siblings but not enough money to go around, some days she had to pass on food so her siblings could eat. Getting accepted into hololive changed her world for the better. and she truly pours all that gratitude into her songs. sadly, despite her talent, and her ability to really make it big like her genmate moona, or some of the more music focused JP and EN members, she have chosen to dedicate her money on supporting her family first. Personally, im mixed about it, it cripples her growth rate, but on the other side, i totally understand family is important and should always be prioritized above everything else.

This song is artful and poised and impeccably performed. Don’t let it fool you though. This squirrel is a cheeky gremlin most famous for her frequent nut themed innuendos. Seriously though, Risu and the contrast between her sillier on stream moments and her ability to get behind a microphone and belt out vocals like this just makes her a more appealing performer.

The song is amazing but also insane respect to the person that mixed it as she did record it multiple times (the deeper mature voice), her natural voice and her streamer voice (high pitched) and it got mixed in really naturally… especially the dual tone at the end.

Risu is well known for her incredible range. This song could well be called her most famous, for clearly good reason. It does look like the comments have already dropped all the trivia on it, however. But to answer your question, yes. Shes a squirrel. Having discovered your content through holoreactions I've been trying to figure out the songs you would enjoy the most. I'm having some difficulty pinning down your music tastes, which may be due to them simply being quite well rounded, but from what I've determined two songs I believe are up your alley that have English captions are Pallette by Tokoyami Towa and Persona by Omaru Polka. Though no official translations exist, Raimei by Towa is also incredible. Both talents are known for powerful singing and very insightful and clever lyrics, though Polka is often overlooked.

Risu had several streams playing the game "Coffee Talk", set in a cafe with a cast of characters; as the game has no sound she voiced all the characters, a remarkable feat that you should check out. But then Risu is still a naughty, nut-obsessed little squirrel who started "Non-stop Nut November", "found" Moona's piggy bank, and got well known for her driving skills in various trucks...

Believe it or not, this is one of the few times I'll say the live version was hands down better all around. Not just because of atmosphere or anything like that. she just straight up balled out on stage and it was INCREDIBLE. Im sure someone beat me to it but after that live version I just mentioned Suisei (who is often heralded as one of the best volcalist in Hololive) had a chat stream to discuss the 2 day convention/live concert and she declared Risu to be the Celine Dion of Hololive, stating "Ayunda Risu... what the hell are you even!?"

@@YoSunnyP Unfortunately you'd probably have to dig around to find it since it was a paid event. Most RU-vid videos of it are taken down for that reason... Alternatively you could hunt down the Blueray for Hololive 3rd fest "Link your Wish" (That was the name of the event)

I-You-N-da Ree-Sue Yes she is a squirrel. Actually Risu is the Japanese word for squirrel. You'll see naming like this a lot for Hololive members. Risu is probably my favorite singer in Hololive. She would probably be the best if she was able to spend more into putting into that talent. Multiple talents say that this song she made is one of the hardest songs to sing. Even Suisei herself has said it, and she is known for making really hard songs to sing. For how big of a pool your diving into, I believe you reacted to 8 members(solo songs)+3 if you include the 3 extra in Non-fiction. You haven't even touched 1/5th of the members. and that's not even including the Holostars branch. Hololive has 59+5 members(a new group is debuting in a few days) Hololive En-15 Hololive ID- 9 Hololive JP- 35 Holoive DEV_IS New branch announced like 3 days ago if that with 5 new ones Then There is a Male branch of Holopro called Holostars with 19 active members 13 JP and 6 EN Now almost every single member in this company have at least 1 Original song. And currently out of all of them, there is only I think 3 who don't have any songs on their channel yet (still fairly new to the company) In short you have hundreds of Originals you can go through with thousands of songs in general. On average you'll see about 5 MV's a month released in the company. So you could be in here for a long time before you even think about catching up. It's probably faster to watch all of One Piece at this current time.

Vtubers give nicknames to their fans and those fans usually have a design for example: Risu has the risuners (pun on her name and the japanese way of saying the english word “listeners”) and they have similar hat and tail to risu Calli has the deadbeats (her vtuber lore is that she is death’s apprentice and an underworld rapper) and they are skeletons Gura has the chumbuds but their design is a shrimp because of a joke with her calling them her shrimps instead of simps (i think) Suisei has the hoshiyomi (suisei means comet and hoshiyomi means stargazer) but we dont have an official design other than fanmade ones Glad you’re enjoying the ride down the hololive rabbit hole lol

There's a almost weirdly high amount of talents in Hololive I feel, and a lot of them basically picked up in a low point of their lives, where it took a turn for the better, though not everyone as quick as others. One of the members of unique talent I'd recommend, is from the Japanese branch, and had a rough start as her channel didn't grow like the others, some overseas fans noticed and posted it on reddit I think it was? Either way it resulted in her suddenly getting a flood of new fans overnight, all of them from overseas, and her stream after that happened is so heartwarming... ANYWAY, her name is Aki Rosenthal, and the song is called Shallys, sung in a language she invented for her character, which is a half-elf, and the MV is an example of how Hololive also can do the MV, through 3d model and tracking their body, so she's actually doing the dancing herself for her MV... and dang did she get fans for her dancing...

Not entirely sure I like the song (bits of it are good but other parts drag out abit too much) itself but it does show off her voice, versatility and range. Think she might be the best singer in holo ID closely followed by Moona.
