This song is in Segah, one of the Persian musical modes ("Dastgah"s) that utilize quarter tones, meaning that it can't be played on the piano (with chromatic tuning). That's why it sounds weird to most western ears and even younger Iranians who are more accustomed to the western scales. Segah is obsolete nowadays in Persian pop music, and you don't hear pop singers sing such a tune anymore.

Her hair style and clothing belongs to over forty years ago and mostly unique to her🌹🍃 She could sing anything if she wanted too, but she chose to do very traditional Persian pieces... As you see it is actually harder than performing opera. Homayra is not my favorite Persian vocalist, but I truly respect her natural and authentic delivery...

Absolutely jaw dropping. What she starts at 6:50 is called "Tahrier" in Iranian classical music. You need lots of training to do that. Usually, male singers do that like, people like maestro Iradj but from her, I did not expect that, absolutely not.! Okay, let me see if I can find my jaw and put it back and fix it.
