A few weeks before 2020 i was watching a Rafa Marquez skills and goals video and the song at the vid was the cradle of filth's cover of this song, but i didn't noticed it... the heavy slow riff before the solo got stuck in my head like 3 months, when the karahnavayraas got my college closed I spent like 2 entire days searching for this song no sleep and it was the first one i've searched for it but just bc i didn't like iron maiden (10 years ago playing guitar hero 3 i had to play the number of the beast and i was just a little 13 year old catholic boy and i hated on them just bc i was stupid) I wasted 2 days hearing another bands, then i asked myself "what if the song is actually the first one i searched for?" And yes it was. Spent another entire day hearing just hallowed be thy name, and since that day spent another month inside an unknown world of music to me, they changed my life mann and now all i hear is maiden. I was an hip hop head mexican but not anymore

Cue up "Fear of the Dark" - live Rock in Rio - prepare to be astounded by 250,000 fans that know every word and note (and most of them don't speak English). BTW, the guy on the shirt is their mascot "Eddie"...he appears on all but one album cover, and shows up on stage occasionally. This show was fairly tame compared to later tours - watch the vid I recommended and you'll see what I mean.

The year was 1983. I was 9. My older brother brought home a Number of the Beast poster. Put it up between a Rob Halford poster and a Van Halen poster in my bedroom. Yes, I have a good brother. After the poster went up, my Maiden journey began. Seemed like an eternity before my first live show on June 1, 1988. It was a transformational experience. Most recent ... in 2019. Can't get enough.

I dunno if it was my comment on the live that made you look into this, but I have mentioned it before. Bruce dickinsons voice is utterly insane! Run to the hills, seventh son, rainmaker, clairvoyant, paschendale, aces high, fear of the dark, wasted years, the trooper...... There's just so many killer tunes here mate. That's a killers shirt you got there. Album covers are fecking awesome too!

Love the pun on the shirt. I'm glad someone started giving some love to a lot of never mention greats. Everyone on youtube shouts for the obvious songs that made them great in the first place, but 16 studio albums, 40+ years world tours. Maiden never stopped making great music, it was the change in culture away from heavy metal, that dropped them from the lime light. I could never stand Blaze's voice live, but even he recorded some gem's.

So glad you got to hear the premier metal bands of all time. i got to see these live in the 80's and man, so please so many people are now enjoying what we have enjoyed for so long. Bruce 'the Air Raid Siren' Dickinson is sensational story teller of stunningly good lyrics written and played so perfectly. Even after 45 yrs, they are still going incredibly strong, minus Paul Dianno thankfully replaced by Bruce as lead vocalist (helping the band move into this metal era). Love your reaction - so this line up is Steve Harris on Bass (and main song writer/founder) Dave Murray & Adrian Smith on Guitars, Bruce Dickinson on Vocals and the late Clive Burr, Drums - RIP .

Iron Maiden is one of the most influential metal band there is and one of the best if not the best band to watch in Live shows. Iron maiden fans are one of the most dedicated fans you will ever see. and i know people will recommend so many songs since their catalog is ridiculously HUGE. so i will recommend The Clansman, Sign of the Cross, Wrath Child from Rock in rio 2001. Number of the best, 2 mins to midnight, seventh son of the seventh son, Poweslave, Wasted Years, Fear of the dark, Aces High, Alexander the great, Rime of the ancient mariner.. are just few to mention here. and please do react to their live performances. they will leave you speechless.

Lead singer Bruce Dickenson is known as "the human air-raid siren" Dude has such a killer voice. The long notes The inflections Theatrical Always lookin' like he is having a great time, and NOBODY gets an audience more involved then he does. Band is all around tight AF. Much of the writing could make a historian cream his pants. Very smart lyrics. Lyrics are always on-point. Check out Fear of The Dark live Rio. On top of how great it is, listen to the audience. Mind blowing.

Takes me back to 1994 at 12 years old when it was my turn. Everyone remembers where they were when they first discovered Maiden! I remember in detail going to a shop in town called Shattered Records and buying the tape, Number of the Beast album for £3.50. What a bargain that was!

Great reaction! The title track from your shirt 'Killers' is really great - albeit the studio version has their first singer (who is amazing too btw) but Bruce also sings this live in a few live performances. But i recommend Infinite Dreams or Rime of the Ancient Mariner (Live Flight 666) first I actually recommend going through and listening to their albums in order. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is my favorite. FYI I've seen them live a few summers ago and honestly the audio from live performances do not even touch how awesome it is live.

I know I'm a little late to this party, but let me first start by saying congratulations and welcome to the family. As for great Maiden song request's, this is how I would present that request: I would first look up all the albums. Then I would present them on your channel and set up a poll on which album the next song that you review will be on. How you manage it from there could be a number of ways. In the end, you will have been exposed to a lot of Maiden greats that never got the love their hayday had.
