Right!...The man can ride the hell out of a high hat beat! That's why he says he was so many different flows. Due, to the beats being different many ways, it causes the flow to be different when chasing the high hat.
They’re really interesting to compare too, because they both have very personal styles. You hear one of their beats, you know exactly who made. Only producers I can think of kinda like that are the Neptunes or maybe Kanye. But even Kanye you could mistake for Just Blaze or someone else.
Honestly Jay Z’s first 8 albums might be the greatest run in hip hop, I’m not really feeling much since the Black album but man those first 8 are consistent quality

JIGGAAAAAAA!!!! Once again. 40 summers deep and Jigga still delivers. His flow and word play are SO STRONG like some 80 proof alchol. PLus his style evolves every 3-4 years. Which is pretty much unheard of. He just needs producers to give him that fresh sound and he can paint a picture for all of us to see. That's why he's the JIGGA MAN.
The reason why I appreciate these videos is because these are the SAME reactions I had when hearing these for the first time growing up. This was Junior or Senior year in high school for me.
Premo is far and away the greatest producer in my opinion. No other producer has had the consistency he's had. RZA had an amazing run but Premo is still dropping incredible tracks to this day, he's been on a 30 year run.
Jay was content being a dealer but Biggie a nd and DJ Clark Kent and a few others really pushed him to pursue music and the rest as they say is history

Premo is the true GOAT hip hop producer TO ME. I've felt that way since back when they were making new GangStarr albums. Love a lot of other producers, but Premier was just on another level.

Premo is one the best producers in hip hop. Fire ass beat. People can say what they want about Jay. Overrated, Trash, Biter whatever you want to call him. He still has some fire songs and I can’t deny his talent though I’m not a fan. Still a legend.
In those days Dj Premier said that when Nas or Jay Z called him for a beat he knew he had to come up with a powerful beat. But when he worked with Guru (rest in peace), he could experiment. And he produced some amazing beats for these two legends.
DJ Premier is just amazing. You're right when you say anything with "Produced by DJ Premier" is going to be a nasty beat. It's just hit after hit, for large artists, and many lesser known artists that he's collaborated with.
Bruh, if you love Premier's work that much, you have to review Group Home's Livin' Proof album. It's considered his greatest production work and magnus opus.

There are no I repeat no rapper dead or alive that got more flows then Jay. Big was the closest. When I say flow it’s the ability to spit fast slow sequence unsequenced . Big could spit fast but it wasn’t as natural as Jay the rest yes.Jay got all the flows . Again I never said lyric I SAID FLOWS. the double entendres the subliminal none are better then Jay dead or alive. Jay is the elite of this. Eminem got word play but not the double entendres like Jay. I’m not even going to talk about the message. Only pac , x had a stronger deliver because it felt like it came from deeper then their soul. Jay is the complete package as an mc basically.
Was actually listening to this album the other day and thinking about how good Jay's body of work is when this is considered one of his lesser albums. 90% of other rappers could release this album and it would be one of their best.

Ahmad, you Idolize DJ Premier as one of the best to ever do it, and rightfully so. ----- Funny thing is you haven't even dug into the best songs in his production catalog. You have to do a Primo production feature as the only way to get to many of his classic, since he's works with so many different artist. Let me give you a sample list. ----- "Return of the Crooklyn Dodgers", "1,2 Pass it", "You can't stop the Prophet", "Invasion", "Revenge of the Prophet", "Speak Ya Clout", "Stay Tuned", "I'm the man", "P is Free" (Reprise from Boom Bap).
If Jay-Z ever did an album where he only worked with one producer, Preem is one of the producers I’d want it to be right along with Kanye, No I.D., Pharrell and Just Blaze.
Dilla, Pete Rock, DJ Premier & 9th Wonder are the "unofficial" Mount Rushmore of making Hip Hop beats. Honorable mentions who other ppl say should be on there is Dr. Dre, RZA, Madlib, Kanye, Nujabes (LoFi Japanese), Havoc, Alchemist, Just Blaze etc...etc.... I HIGHLY recommend you react to more 9th Wonder beats though. 9th Wonder will knock your socks off AND he teaches COLLEGE courses @ both Harvard & Duke University On Music History & Producing! Refer to a documentary titled, "The Hip Hop Fellow".
