A lot of people disrespect Jay, and they do it because it’s a popular thing to tear him down outta jealousy. Bagging Beyoncé and getting a billion dollar bag pisses a lot of people off. Dudes from the South REALLY hate him. But Jay is a master lyricist.
Im happy there are people giving jay his flowers, to me no rapper besides nas has been as good as him for as long as him. The influence is crazy. I Highly recommend that you go through hov album by album, there are some misses you can probably skip but if you arent gonna do any full album reactions, at least go track by track on the albums i think there is a lot of value in watching him evolve. My favorite jay track tho is "The City Is Mine"
