1:23 "Looking at this guy, i would not expect him to have this kind of a voice" Me, who knows Lauren is up next and what she's about to do: Hee Hee Hee! Wait for it. . . Wait for it. . . Seriously though, Jonathan has amazing range, check out his covers of Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul and Jack's Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas. They both hit on another level. He's got an original album out called Starship Velociraptor (awesome name!) and I dig his song Jetpack Race. He does this amazing controlled descent from falsetto to baritone in the verses that you don't see from mainstream artists anymore. I say that mainly because it's a slow descent, like down a hill, most artists these days do it like they drop off a cliff and call it talent (it's not, I could do that, and I'm only a tolerable singer). He used to have a song called Only Singing Bass, which was a parody of All About That Bass and it's video was pretty funny, but I think it got yanked off RU-vid. Probably YT's stupid rules and regulations because the actual writer/singer of the song, Meghan Trainor liked it, she even retweeted it. Lauren is also really talented, she does great pop-turned-metal songs, and I recommend her cover of Billie Eilish Lovely with Jordan Radvansky. Who is another great singer who does a lot of metal covers of The Weeknd's songs, check out Call Out My Name. R&B songs hit different when they're turned into rock/metal. Ok, I better stop now or this is going to turn into an essay.
Lauren has her own thing plus she does collaborate with this guy and Halocene and Violet Orlandi and many others. The dude specializes in heavy metal and metallized covers of softer songs.
So fun to see you reacting to Jonathan. He is so talented, has done metal covers for forever, and so many Disney songs....so good! Would love to see more, Lauren is also super talented! Jonathan also has some new original music that is really awesome too. I love his Eye to Eye, his newest Land of the Living is awesome, his Phantom of the Opera stuff with Melinda...just some fun ideas :)
Jonathan is definitely an artist for you. He has a ton of covers (so many Disney songs) and also originals. I recommend.. Originals: Land of Broken Dreams (feat. Caleb Hyles) - those two together 🤘, Unravel and Land of the Living. Covers: In the Dark of the Night from Anastasia, Be Prepared from The Lion King (he has two, I mean this version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-26CxAEKtMq0.html) and Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid. I know you'll enjoy all of those, but I bet you will love the last three. I really love the VoicePlay cover of Poor Unfortunate Souls (Geoff as Ursula, I mean what else do you want?), but Jonathan's version might be my favorite. At least it's a tie.
Please do more of Jonathan Young's music, he's done a lot of covers but also has some of his own original songs as well, he is such a talented Musician
Lauren babic is my absolutely fav singer she's absolutely incredible and she dose a killer job everytime she's from Toronto Canada she's a bad ass check out her other stuff. 🤘
been a fan of Jonothan young for like a year, went on the rabbit hole to discover everything about him since he started, and i have to say, if you like to do review, you should definitely do joyo's original new album, starship velociraptor, and "best band in the universe" in particular
