One is born without the desire and if that is how they are and are happy about it, that person doesn't need to be fixed. Kelly didn't know until she married. This is the advice I gave my son who asked me why his father was not in his life First, there is nothing wrong with you. It is nothing you have done. Your father loves differently from other people Your father understands love differently from other people You and I feel and express love differently than him I know it may hurt but find grace with your father because he has his own demons and copes with life differently than you and me. You don't have to like your father let alone love him. Simply be understanding, that your father is him and you are you I hugged him and reminded him to forgive his father because forgiveness is for yourself to release the person who may have hurt you and holds no power over achieving personal happiness. As an adopted child, family is not always blood-related but those you implicitly trust within your inner circle. If you have other parental-like people you admire, then embrace them as your "parent". I turned to an elder cousin as my "grandfather" because he gave me a lot of life practical lessons. In the end, only you can give you your value worth. Parents are to help guide us to find it, but if a parent(s) is not there and you succeeded on your own, then you are not "wrong" but extraordinary. Much care to you and into the universe

Im grateful you let yourself cry. Too many people were raised or came to believe that crying is a sign of weakness, but its just our bodies' way of releasing chemicals/compounds we get overwhelmed by (feelings). If you look at tears under a microscope, the structure is different based on the reason for the tear, like onion crying is different than grief crying, happy crying, regret or remorse, etc. It helps us process and move past difficult or uncomfortable feelings. Anyone who can watch that and not be touched... My heart still aches when I think back to sitting with my granddaughters, ages 6 & 4. Listening to them cry because they knew mom leaving was because they were bad. The 4 y/o told me that she will be a good girl, that it is all her fault. My wife and I reassured them over and over that mom and dad loved them, that they are good girls. Fortunately, although in a broken home, they, now in their early 20's, survived and have done well.

Losing my dad in 2000, the moment I found out he was dying, I still recall the moment I realized that although I experienced loss of loved ones in my lifetime, I never felt that utter depth of sadness until I found out I was losing him. I hope everyone lives their lives knowing they’ll never have regrets or wished they’d treated a loved one better than they did. God bless you in this time of sorrow. It’s been going on 24 years for me, and I still feel his presence when I find a feather. I smile when I receive the message that all is, or will be better and he’s now my guardian angel. Look for signs. Repetition in numbers, for me it’s 444. On the clock, a book opened to that page, as well as feathers, particularly gray dove feathers in the most random places….. like a cave I was touring in Missouri, miles underground! or my hospital room the morning after a botched surgery that almost killed me….. you’ll see the signs. And you’ll know he’s with you. I promise it gets easier and the pain loses it’s intensity. If you and he had not had so much love, you wouldn’t feel the loss, so this too shall pass and you’ll find it’s a blessing to have had him for the time you did. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

I just found you on your James blunt monsters video! First I want to say I am so very sorry for the loss of your dad. It’s definitely a struggle. I lost my dad when I was 21, my mom when I was 38, and have lost 4 brothers and a nephew and many friends. I’m 61 now, and the baby of 9 children. You are such an amazing man with a heart of gold. I feel this is very therapeutic for you. I use to go out and find the brightest star in the sky and talk to my mom. It helped but I can tell you from experience that it takes time, so grieve any way that helps You!! Do what you feel and feel what you do!! The memories no one can take away from you… and I know your dad is soooo very proud of you!! He’s in your heart and by your side everyday! You don’t need to apologize for grieving honey. It will take some time to heal… so let it out. Take care! I subscribed to your channel and I’ll be back to see how you’re doing. Losing a parent is one of the hardest thing anyone will ever experience. Never underestimate the amount of time it may take to heal, most dont so I understand, sorry for your heartbreaking loss

I’m not sure why this video popped up on my homepage, but I’m so glad it did. Even through a screen you have such a light about you that you give off this healing energy to your audience. I hope that you get some of that same healing back by making your videos - my deepest condolences on the loss of your dad. Your grief isn’t something that you will ever get over; instead you will get through it as it comes and goes in waves, bringing tears and smiles and the very best memories that will hold you until you meet one another again. In the meantime, keep doing what you’re doing because you’re doin it great.
