One of the most popular bands currently in New Zealand. This song was biggest selling record in 2020. Amazing band live. Please check out their earlier music. ‘Controller’ (2017) which was also a big hit that year was re-released due to the popularity of ‘In The Air’ and ‘Rocketship’ (awesome promotion album track) The band mostly composes reggae music, with a mix of electronic, blues, rock and funk music.

lead singer is Joel Shadbolt .. and yes the band's name is the letters L . A . B .. there's also 2 brothers in the band Brad & Stu Kora from there band Kora(also heaps of bangers from there band) .. and Ara Adams Tamatea, the bass player is from the band Katchafire (another iconic nz band with yes, you guessed it, mega- bangers)

Love the fact that they let the beat go instead of having a chorus. Just lets you ride the song, amazing!

L.A.B members are Brad Kora (Drummer/BV), Stu Kora (Guitar/Keyboard/BV), Ara Adams Tamatea (Bass/Keyboards), Miharo Gregory (Keyboards/BV) and Joel Shadbolt (Lead Guitar/Vocals). Originally the acronym stood for founding members Laughton & Brad from iconic reggae roots band Kora, before Laughton left and Joel, Stu, Miharo joined the band. I'm unsure so don't quote me on it but I suspect the A in L.A.B stood for Ara (Bass/Keyboard player) from another iconic reggae roots band Katchafire.
