Jeffrey Osborne is the lead on this song. Saw him in an intimate concert this past Sunday and he still.sounds the same and he's in his 70s now. Underrated singer IMO cause he has one of the most unique and great voices of our time. Gotta do more of him guys, with the group and solo

YES YES YES! I’m a 70’s, EARLY 70’s baby so when I hear songs like this I go back to some of the best days of my childhood. My much younger cuzn made it her wedding song bcuz I recommended it. Everybody went crazy when they heard it. That’s what Love Ballad does to people!😉

The group on the album cover isn't L.T.D. That's the Stylistics on the album cover. There's a video version to this song where L.T.D is singing this song on Soul Train if you wanna check it out to see how they really look. But check out the Stylistics. They have some bangers also!

I knew that didn't look like LTD because they were a 9 or 10 member band and I didn't recall seeing Jeffrey Osborne. This is one of many good songs by LTD. "I don't care what the people say. I don't care what they say no." FIYAH !!! Jeffery Osborne has one of the most underrated tenor voices in music. His voice is so pure and controlled he can sing the phone book and make you melt. I'm glad you're giving them their flowers. Jeffery in particular deserves a garden for that voice. I applaud you young men for having the good sense to go back and discover a time when music was at its best!!! The 70's, 80's, 90's, and even some of the 60's music is the best ever written, sang, recorded. I am so thankful to have grown up and experienced it as it was introduced to the world!!! I remember singing along to it, and knowing every word back then.

Unfortunately that pic was not of LTD. LTD was a band that played instruments with a lot more members. The amazing lead singer is Jeffrey Osbourne who went solo and had hits on his own; Baby Stay With Me Tonight, The Woo Woo song, On The Wings Of Love, Dont You Get So Mad, I'm Only Human. This was the joint back in the day. I had the album, then when it was remastered to cassettes, same. Then to CD and Livestream. But it's nothing like having this joint on vinyl, putting the needle on the record and watching it spin around on the turntable.

Hey Twins! If I'm not mistaken, the group in that photo is the Stylistics. Jeffrey Osborne is singing "Love Ballad" and was the lead singer of LTD before moving on to a solo career React to more of his songs, "On The Wings Of Love", "We're Going All The Way", "Don't You Get So Mad About It" and more. You.will agree I'm sure that he has one of the best and strongest voices in R&B. Thanks guys!

Now that you’ve heard LTD, I can’t help but remind you to react to Strawberry Letter 23 by the Brothers Johnson - a fabulous duo of brothers who were making hits around the same time as LTD. Strawberry Letter 23 didn’t quite make sense if you knew the lyrics, but it was something about “Thunder Thumbs” Louis Johnson and his brother “Lightning Licks” George, that made that song a banger back in the day. It still hits different when I hear it today.

The groups then were usually bands so most of them played instruments as well as vocals but they usually had a lead singer. The lead singer for LTD was Jeffrey Osborne and he played drums and also had a great career as a solo artist and songwriter.
