I saw Led Zeppelin in 1974, Page and Plant in 1994, Robert Plant in 2009, and Robert Plant with Allison Krauss in July 2023. At 68 years old, I still love a good concert!
it really was! i didnt grow up then, i was born in 02 but my parents raised me on this music. its all i listen to, 60s and 70s stuff is my absolute favorite!
Genius is the word...my favorite Zep song...its so unique and funky...I truly loved your reaction to it...I saw them live in 77 and had their posters on my walls then...I still have their posters up.
remember - acid - was a big thing back then - Whole Lotta Love is a GREAT one too. This is classic rock and roll. It should be a requirement to get high before listening. hahaha
Yep Acid Rock..😁... The call and answer between the instruments and singer was genius..as you said... At 15 I used head phones to listen to all Jim Morris and the doors albums in one nght..sober..but it was still transformative...i was walking in wonder for the next day or two... Zeppelin..The Doors.. music from the late 60's to early 70's was something never heard before or since... I don't know if it was loss of innocence or mind expanding..it just was..it just was... 🌿🌿🌿
It was--believe it or not--originally a folk song. It was cut by some folksinger named Jake Holmes a couple years before this remake. It's actually a terrible song; Led Zeppelin absolutely transformed it.
