A "back door man" was an old blues term for the guy your woman was cheating with - he left out the back door when you came in the front door. Guitarist Jimmy Page would occasionally play his guitar with a violin bow, however he didn't use one during this song. Instead, the strange noises was created by an oscillating device called a Theremin.

FINALLY! SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTAND, THEY WERE BETTER ON STAGE! The studio versions were only a point of start, to make their songs evolve, by improvising night after night! It's what Page explained, and it's clear when you listen to them live! They're giving so much more, than in a shit studio! STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN in a studio, I feel like if it was flat, dead! But, if I watch the MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 1973 'S VERSION, it's unbelievable! So alive! The perfection! I can't understand, why all the peoples, are only talking, and preferring the studio version! Ridiculous! All the great bands of the 60's,and 70's,were only alive, living, happy, on stage! Thank you! Peace from France 😂👍✌️🎸🇫🇷

Speaking of a whole lotta love….it is said that the tops Robert Plant (vocals) wore on stage belonged to the woman he gave a whole lotta lov’in to the night before. “If you give me your shirt, I’ll wear it on stage.” ……and so he did! Whole Lotta Love was released in 1969 the beginning of their ten year run. Albums 1 & 2 were released in ‘69. John Bonham (drummer) died September 25, 1980 and he took the legendary band with him. There will never be another Led Zeppelin. Growing up in the 70’s, it was the only band I wanted to listen to. Hope you will experience more of the legacy they left behind. 🎶♥️🎶

"Whole Lotta Love" is the opening track on the band's second album, Led Zeppelin II, and was released as a single in 1969 in several countries; as with other Led Zeppelin songs, no single was released in their home land of the United Kingdom. In the United States, it became their first hit. Parts of the song's lyrics were adapted from Willie Dixon's "You Need Love", recorded by Muddy Waters in 1962; originally uncredited to Dixon, a lawsuit in 1985 was settled with a payment to Dixon and credit on subsequent releases. Led Zeppelin disbanded when drummer John Henry Bonham died. John Henry Bonham (31 May 1948 - 25 September 1980)

Mullets had a comeback with factory workers in the mid '70s and through the 90's they hated long hair sticking in their face while sweating bullets at work so they cut the sides and left it long in the back and many followed suit. Since I lived through this era, I can tell you this was out of the 70's, all these musicians were from England and gained incredible fame and fortune by coming to America and showing they had a new interpretation of the blues based on their skills and vision. They made gobs of money in a short period of time. Their first 3 albums were great rock and blues classics and than like always they tried to get too cute, drank too much, had too many drugs and spent their money like it would never end. But, they were fun for that first few years. That I assure you.

I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan, was fortunate enough to see them in concert in 1977 ( my 18th birthday present), love the song, but I have to agree with you, a whole lot of men make those promises they will teach you and send you back to school, but in the long run, we have to teach them what we like and how to satisfy a woman! Love both of your comments. I believe you commented on another of my all time favourite guitarist’s , Stevie Ray Vaughan. Man, that was another man that could play a guitar! To get back to Led Zeppelin, one of their big influences was the blues and it shows in a lot of their songs, they just interpreted the song their way, which a lot of British bands did back then in the 60’s and 70’s. Anyway, enjoyed your vlog, made me smile big time, good way to start my day!

@@j348011 I’m sure he did! In fact, I think Stevie Ray could wipe the floor with quite a few guitarists!

Theres only one guitar player. Jimmy Page. This was the studio version of the song with a compilation of different shows. Watch Stairway To Heaven live at MSG for greatest guitar solo ever.

Awesome and fun reaction y'all! I'm an OG Led Zeppelin fan from the 70s. One of my claims to fame was that I saw them twice in one week while they were in town. Legendary. Glad yall dug it, keep checking out their great music. Have you done You Shook Me? omg. Dazed and Confused? jfc. Both off the album is best.

Robert Plant is a great singer, Jimmy Page is one of the best guitar players... I read almost all the comments and nobody mention how great was John Bonham on the drums. I think he was the best drummer in the 70´s, saddly we lost him too early. John Paul Jones was great too playing bass. They deserve to be mentioned too, not only Robert and Jimmy.
