The saddest part is that the Live Experience is so much different. It captures and slays all in one motion. Luciano's Passion (Great Call Out, Doc), and Pronunciation were crystal clear. Amazing.

That's not a set! The thermal site of "Caracalla" was built by the romans 216 years after christ, roughly 1.804 years ago and still stands the test of time proudly in one of the most historycally rich parts of the world. Europe is Ancient, buddy ;)

Caracalla's thermal baths are one of the most beautiful places in Rome. It may look fake to those who are not used to see roman buildings, mostly because they still stand after thousands of years. But it's quite normal to us Italians, to see them as the jewels that they are... the Colosseo, Circo Massimo, Fori Imperiali, Ostia Antica, the roman villas... they are part of an heritage that goes beyond history and pride. I live in Rome and I can assure you that being at concerts with these locations is just breathtaking. Only who visits these places can actually understand. Glad to know that jewels like Pavarotti's voice and talent and the Eternal City are still able to stunn.❤

My Chinese grandma has travelled a bit and has seen some stuff. It really surprises her that the Americas (in general) are young. So correlating well-lit ancient ruins with a movie set or the like is not far fetched. So, thermal baths, huh? Nice.

Agreed. I've heard some opera singing in English, and it's so distracting because it turns a purely musical experience into someone melodramatically draw-aw-aw-aw-aw-ing OUT everrrrrrrrrry WOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRDDDDD!!!!! and often then repeating the same phrase over and over again. It's much better when you don't know the language so can treat the voice as another musical instrument being played by a master.

It amazes me that never hearing Opera, the way you reacted to it. You understood the passion of his voice. He was like in another world. That man sang with so much emotion and it touched you. I don't know of any black man liking Opera. You got it. Your reaction looked genuine and I was surprised how you reacted to his voice. I'm sure some black people love Opera, but to my knowledge the are in to rap, hip hop and their kind of soul music. This really touched you and you understood the feeling and passion that that man has. Great watching watching you. I myself never got into to Opera, but this mans voice gave me goosebumps on top of goosebumps. His voice let me feel something I never experimented before. I'm actually a C/W fan, but I was glad hearing this man sing. You are right, one does not need to understand the words at all. His performance transported me to another world. I do like several different styles of singing and music. This one was truly special.

Your video came across my recommended, probably because I've been listening to a lot of opera on YT lately, and I loved getting to see your genuine reaction to Nessun Dorma. It's probably one of the more famous male arias out there, and it's stunning. I don't speak any other languages or anything like that, but like you said in this video you don't need to in order to appreciate opera. The passion stands for itself. If you get the chance, you should definitely check out female opera singers. My favorite is Sumi Jo. Her rendition of "O Mio Babbino Caro" is one of my favorite videos of hers (the one with her in an orange dress), but literally any video of hers is wonderful. I look forward to more opera reactions from you, but in the meantime I'll be checking out more of your content!!

Thank you my friend, indeed he was - and is. I'm Italian and we are very proud of him, and used to consider him part of the Italian Beauty : Pavarotti is like Venice, la Reggia di Caserta, la Torre di Pisa, and so... Just for you to know, he is the last of a series of great ones : like Mario del Monaco and Enrico Caruso. Greetings from Italy!

I really enjoyed so much watching you as Pavarotti was singing. It's wonderful that you are willing to take the time and expose yourself to a kind of music that you haven't listened to that much. You're an inspiration to other young people that either have had no exposure to classical music, or have negative feelings about it. Please continue doing what you're doing!

One of the better reactions to the Maestro Luciano Pavarotti !! Thank you for not chopping it up and ruining the vibe and passion of the aria. When you feel music , even though it's not in your language , that is true music. It speaks to the soul

The ci in Luciano would be pronounced like chi, and Pavarotti would be Pa-vah-rOhtti you said it Pa-vah-rAhtti. "Nessun dorma"; English: "Let no one sleep" is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot and one of the best-known tenor arias in all opera. It is sung by Calaf, il Principe ignoto (the unknown prince), who falls in love at first sight with the beautiful but cold Princess Turandot. Any man who wishes to wed Turandot must first answer her three riddles; if he fails, he will be beheaded. In the aria, Calaf expresses his triumphant assurance that he will win the princess. Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma! (None shall sleep! None shall sleep! Not even you, oh Princess, in your cold bedroom, watching the stars that tremble with love, and with hope!) No, No! (But my secret is hidden within me; no one will know my name! No, no! On your mouth, I will say it when the light shines!) (And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine!) Dilegua, o notte! Tramontate, stelle! Tramontate, stelle! All'alba, vincerò! Vincerò! Vincerò! (Vanish, o night! Fade, you stars! Fade, you stars! At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win! )

As far as the pronunciation goes, the “c” in Luciano is supposed to be pronounced like a “CH” (chills, children....) The surname in kinda right, although the double T means that you have to pronunce the letter in a “stronger way”, i don’t really know how to explain it

I once sang Beethoven's 9th with a full orchestra as part of a 150 voice choir for the 4th movement (chorale). When we stop singing the orchestra goes mad for about 16 bars and at the crashing finish, you feel like you've run a marathon, and it felt like my spirit was smashing out of my skull into the sky! The audience felt it and were on their feet before it ended. It's spiritual, my friend. You leave the realm of this earth and you are literally transported to a different place. It's ecstasy!

You were so right...He WAS the music! I can't hear that particular piece without tears. So beautiful. You need to see Pavarotti in Turandot to understand where the emotion is coming from...Very Powerful. Unfortunately, Pavarotti is gone now, so you can't experience it live. I'm glad you're introducing young people to a different genre of music. Growing up, it was Bugs Bunny cartoons that introduced me to classical music. I've always encouraged my children to listen to all music and let it speak to you in a personal way. Music is our universal language (so you don't need to know the words).
