I really don't think anyone will ever read this message, I don't even know why I'm writing it, the loved one I lost is myself, I don't know who I'am anymore, I turn 23 in less then a month, and I really don't know anymore, I feel like an empty shell, and endless darkness that leads to nothing, I really don't enjoy anything anymore, everything has lost its colour, the beauty about my own life is gone, the only reason I'm still here is because I don't want to make others sad, even though I'm already sad, I really don't know what how real happiness feels anymore, I don't even remember the happiness I felt as a child, everything is dull, whenever I'm alone I'm in an endless abyss of darkness, whenever I'm with people the abyss is not as dark, but I'm still lonely, so alone. This actually hitted me. I’m only 14 so I’m really young and not mature yet and this was the song that built my childhood. My dad had me late and has type 1 diabetes, few months ago the doctor told us that if he could survive up to 8 years. My dad has to weight everything he eats and calculate some percentages if he wants to live the longest. He starts eating less or sometimes doesn’t calculate. He worked during his entire life and his dream was to be a photographer. He eventually got prizes and in his entire life, only one person bought one of his photos. My dad is my best friend and when I was watching this reaction my brain processed only now the fact if he does the best I can only live with him until I’m 22 made me cry. His life long he worked to get us food but never had the time for him, I wish him to live the rest of his life to the fullest ❤

I lost my mom when I was 13, my dad when I was 11 and my brother abandoned me when I was 15 I was all alone but still made it. You're all stronger than you think it won't get better but we learn to live with it and never forget those who are dear to us. Live and time never stops so neither should we. Its crazy how you can connect with media of any type when dramatic things happen. Whether good or bad, the meanings and feelings imparted on one from a song or show or anything stays with them. When I lost my dad, "remember everything" by five finger death punch played in my car as I was driving around town dealing with the aftermath of his passing. It really hit home. I'd always liked the song, but at that point it changed from a song to an extension of my state of mind. Condolences for your loss, man.

This song always makes me realize that counting the years never does anything, it makes you hope that people love and live longer and that they can't just be snatched away at any moment. I wanna tell my family that I'm thankful that they were always there even when I felt like they weren't. They stayed with me that whole time and kept doing things to reassure me that they love me. Whenever I'd separate from the party they'd come and make sure I was okay. They always got me something extra because they knew I'd probably want something too. And no matter how hard it was they always made sure I had a bed too sleep in even if it was their's. If I ever turn out ungrateful don't forgive me, because I won't deserve it. It crazy how these things pop up right when you need them. I lost my nephew Saturday, and had to rush my father to the hospital today. He’s ok right now, but driving home It was almost like a slide show was playing in my mind. The reality hit me in that moment that daddy is fading.. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know you will keep him with you❤ I lost my dad at 16 and I was a real daddy’s girl. it’s now 21 years later and he still impacts my life in more ways that I can count. I told him I forgave him for not being there for all the moments In my life where he knew I would need him, cause I would be okay, I would carry him with me. I got a tribute tattoo (fire and water) done when I was 17. When I met my now husband and he asked me to marry him, he got the promise he couldn’t give my dad in person tattooed on him instead It says “I got Her” and it is a promise he keeps every day. I know my dad would have loved him, and despite never having met, my husband has created a bond through stories and life lessons my dad passed on while he was here. And we have this tradition where every year on the day he died, all of us kids and my mom get together and laugh and share stories about him, we take out picture albums and just take the time to truly remember him. As us kids haven gotten older, spouses and kids have joined this tradition so they too get to know him. My dad’s memory lives on stronger than I think he he could have ever imagined, and there is not a single male grandchild that doesn’t carry his name as a middle name. Hell or High water, we got you dad.

I had lost my grandpa a few weeks ago, this video has really help me see that life is precious. Your whole life can flip with a snap of the fingers hold onto that. Yes it is brother yes it is... For a long time i thought i was untouchable amd then cancer hit me hard gave me the scariest experience ever... Going on 6years now since i was diagnosed with cancer ..the day i walked out of the doctors office jumped in the car with my dad and wife the very first song that played was this song 7years which helped me opened my eyes and since then i took life very serious and made sure i enjoyed ever second was worth it ... Living life loving life loving everyone in my life. . holding them close cause one day i won't be here anymore. Every day every second im on this beautiful world is a blessing so thankful to god for the time i get to spend with my family and friends

I lost my uncle when i was 14. He commited suicide and i haven't thought about this song in the way you explain it. He got to 33 before passing. I'm 19 now and it feels like yesterday when we lost him. Thank you for this video and i'm sorry for your loss. I know he looking down at you as you talk about him.
