The song is about Nikki Sixx (the bassist) overdosing and being pronounced dead for 3 minutes. But, the paramedics in the ambulance refused to give up and gave him 2 shots of adrenaline to his heart Savin his life. So they wrote “Kickstart my heart” after that incident.

From the oldest rockers from the 60's and 70's blasting stuff like the rolling stones to the people like me who have only just gotten out of college that have grown up around the music as well. Yes it can with an adrenaline shot to the heart. Interestingly the EMT on the ambulance was Motley Crue fan and went above and aboard to save Nikki Sixx's live. Nikki is now clean and sober for a long time. 🤩😍

Saying black people invented rock is a very broad and generally incorrect statement. Black people invented blues, which in the 50s was picked up by white people and rock as we knew it in the late 50s all the way through now stemmed from the combination of black and white takes on the essentially the same genre. Black "blues" and white "schmaltz" were eventually combined to create "rock n roll". AC/DC released an album in 1977 titled "Let There Be Rock" where the tite song explains this process in the most simple and jamming way
