This is a great Maxwell song especially with the theme of the day, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't also do "Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder)". That song is everything!

"Ascension" is the first song that I heard by Maxwell, and I wanted more from him. I think "This Woman's Work" was next. I also love.... " Sumthin', Sumthin' " "Pretty Wings" "Fortunate" For more of the sultry Neo-Soul genre (male artists) ..... *Eric Benet* " News for You" " Chocolate Legs" "Spend My Life With You" "Georgy Porgy" (upbeat duet with Faith Evans..... remake of the song by the fabulous band *Toto* ) .

While I am a life long Rams fan of over 62 years, I really liked the Bengals and they played a heck of game. My hats off to them for all they did this year. Great choice! I consider this to be one of the finest love song recordings of all time. It's up there with Roberta Flack's "The First Time (Ever I Saw Your Face), Streisand's "Evergreen", and a few others. I originally found this c.d. single in a "discontinued pile" at a store in Cleveland for 50 cents back in the 90's. Wonderful reaction!

Great choice. I was about to request Maxwell. This song is from his first album, "Urban Hang Suite." He came on the scene in the '90s. A special singer. This man made the ladies swoon. I noticed how both of you just melted to his voice. Other great songs are "Till the Cops Come Knocking", "Ascension" and "Sumthin Sumthin."

Maxwell is musical kin to Sade -- the band's sax player has collaborated on most of his albums. Maxwell's is one of those voices that remind you that the voice was our first musical instrument. Check out his ballad "Fortunate." He's a great producer too; his uptempo song "No One" has rhythm guitar as a main instrument, but most of it is just barely audible. It's a great effect.

Great choice in picking one of top singers in the business: Maxwell!! “Fortunate”, “Bad Habits”, “Ascension”, “Don’t Ever Wonder”, “Til the Cops Come Knockin’”... You name it, your boy’s got it!! Stuart Matthewman, the guitarist from my wife (yeah, I said it!!), Sade’s Group, produced his first album, “Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite”. Excellent way to start off the week!!

How do you two have the babies and not know Maxwell like that??? 😀😀😀 I listened to this album on a lunch break at a mall FYE store, and instantly knew it was the snax album of the century! It was in the bargain bin, as nobody knew who Maxwell was yet. I think I paid $5. My co-workers were mad that I didn't buy them copies when I came back to work and played it in the computer CD ROM drive! 😀😀😀 It is still one of my favorites of all time!

Maxwell well has been on of my faves since i was in high school! If yall think the album version is amazing, you DEFINITELY need to hear/watch the MTV Unplugged live version!! I love that version better than the recorded one!
