I remember listening to this freshman year in college in 1994. My mind was blown, played this tape back to back like 4 times. Keep getting stuck on this song. This was the standout cut on the album to me and it was the 2nd song on the B side lol

I remember Pac saying in an interview that Big took the whole idea for this song from him when he was locked up on Rikers Island. Not the content of the verses but the whole suicidal aspect of the hook. Idk a lot of shit Pac said wasn't exactly accurate lol.

PAC was telling the truth. Listen to Party and Bullshit and then listen to this. Big wasn't even talking about stuff like until he met PAC. There are also videos on RU-vid of Big shouting out "thug life" on stage with PAC. Research more on BIG and you will see the stuff he was fronting about.

@@danavharris Bruh I don't have to research, I was there for most of it when he said it but a lot of that was just Biggie looking up to Pac. He idolized that dude before they fell out and a lot of people in Pac enterouge were screaming thug life back around 93/94 because Pac had just started to become known for that. I ain't gonna say he used to be lying but he said a lot of shit that was only true from his perspective. That being said, I know a lot of NYC rappers thought and still do think that it's fine to just take people's shit and not give credit.
