Man..I was at the source awards in 1995 and saw sticky passing by while I was in my seat, and I yelled out “wassup sticky?!” And he threw his arms up like “that’s right, I’m in the building!” - all I can say is that I got very lucky winning those tickets from HOT97 (Ny radio station). I got to see anyone that was big at that time perform in one spot. If only 2pac wasn’t incarcerated at that time? It would’ve been incredible. I mean I got to see the entire death row family perform, the entire bad boy family perform (including biggie), method man, da brat, bone thugs. It was also the first year that the awards were televised. This show was also when the whole east/west rivalry came to a head. I mean it seemed to always be there, but it was just simmering on the burner in low heat. But this award show was when it started to heat up..that burner went from simmer to medium/high real quick. And when 2pac got out of jail and went to death row? It was on high. But when Suge got up on stage that night and took a shot at Puffy? Just put that shit right out in the open? That entire building started chanting “east coast!!” At Suge. I remember death row getting boo’d after that. Whenever one of them got an award..and snoop getting on stage asking “New York ain’t got no love for snoop dog?! New York got no love for death row?? we know where the fuck we at!” - snoop and puffy were trying to turn down the heat after Suge’s comments. I’m rambling..but I was there at the beginning of the end. Those words that Suge said got the ball rolling for the whole East/west feud.

The entire album tells a story from beginning to end. It's one of the most creative albums I've ever heard. Lyrics and storytelling is top tier.
