I think I found one of the raddest bands out today! We are looking at ‪@LOUISGENEVIEVE‬ and they blew me away! This tune had it all and the video was so much fun to watch! Any song by Knower is worth listening to , especially anything off rhe newest album... Another (possible) Louis Cole project to check out is Clowncore .. These guys are true masters of thier craft!! This is a rabbithole worth diving deep into.

At first, I was like, "What? This is weird." Then I started getting into it. I think when I started actually hearing the sax, it started getting to me. My mom's band, way back when, had a WONDERFUL sax player, and he could do just about anything you could imagine with it. He and my mom's skill on the fiddle, were just SUPERB! This guy was REALLY GOOD, too. By the time we got to the end, I was HOOKED! THANK YOU for the fun! 😀

The first thing my friend said when I introduced her to this was “Are they all in the same music school?” And I was like ya I think they all met at jazz school. This to me demonstrates the importance of arts/fine arts education. These are some really dedicated and knowledgable musicians and it shows. You don’t NEED a formal education but it can certainly help.

Fantastic reaction and appreciation of that song! Love Knower. I’d recommending going through the songs of their lateat album (all live session recordings). - I’m The President - Do Hot Girls Like Chords - The Abyss - Crash The Car - It’s All Nothing Until It’s Everything (my personal favorite)

The octaver that the bass player is using is superb - I've never heard one track a Precision as well as that.

there's another of their "hallway" vids where you get a quick glimpse of what I believe is his pedal board - there are 2 Boss Octavers as well as 2 envelope followers. Again, I'm assuming that board is his - certainly you can hear the envelopers in some of his work. Damn, he's cooking.... Edit - It's Do Hot Girls Like Chords - 2 Boss octavers and 2 EHX Pitchforks.

I think you'd get a kick out of Louis Cole's "Live Sesh" stuff. It's not Knower but it kinda is. It's hard to describe without spoiling it. Anyways the video titles are "F it up - Louis Cole (Live Sesh)" and "Thinking (live sesh) - Louis Cole."
