First Time Hearing Park Hyo Shin | Singer Songwriter Reacts | Wildflower 

Park Hyo Shin is my favorite singer. After I listened to him for the first time, I was like, what have I been listening to all these times? 🤣

He wrote the melody and the lyrics. The first verse he finished while crying in the bathroom. His former company made him work untill he would collapse and still not stop. They would use him to popularize their company even if it meant that his image will be falsely tainted. He couldn't physically and emotionally take it so he decided to leave the company and break the contract which left him with a huge amount of debt....Like the lyric, he is now a flower that survived the winter and is blooming beautifully. Now he is free of debt and is thriving in the theater (musical) and singing industry. All of his concerts and plays are sold out.

This song was written by Park and the piano player and is considered his signature song. It resonates with him as way to express coming through very difficult times. He was under contract as part of a K-pop group that was very restrictive so he left but then was bankrupted after losing in court. He's painfully shy and all of the publicity and monetary challenges he faced wore heavily on him. He's considered one of the four top male Korean vocalists so you did well in picking him for a reaction -- which I very much enjoyed.

Definitely one of the best songs I've heard.

This song has been on every playlist I've made since I first heard it, no matter how inappropriate. Even when I'm in a metal mood I'm never unhappy to hear Wildflower.

One of the first people I watched on yt, a lovely voice, so emotional, South Korea seems to produce so many wonderful singers and dancers :)

Him and his pianist composed this song for their friend who had passed away not long before the song was released, that's why there's so much emotion. At one point you can even see the pianist holding back his tears(around the end)

Everything about that was beautiful. 🌹

EDIT: Can you pleasereact to his OST "That day" from the drama Mr. Sunshine. There's many story behind this song, it was a miracle that the pianist and him met. The story goes somehw likethis: PHS was broke af because his company took everything from him and he went to the army to serve because he had nothing and there's where they met or around those times. This song is one of his most memorable songs. EDIT 2: This was his special episode for YHY Sketchbook and they were on full capacity and there was people who didnt get in... thats the impact he has.

Park is a really good singer with amazing vocal technique.

To add to what others have already shared about the amazing Park Hyo Shin, he suffers from spasmodic dysphonia. I'm not a doctor but I know that his started during the time when he was going through a lawsuit against his abusive company. They weren't just restrictive, they were almost scammers in that they overworked him without giving him much of his earnings, the lawsuit also added to his problems. Then, his good friend also committed suicide around the same time. He wrote this after that time and I love this song so much because it talks about resilience and rising again after difficulties. This performance always makes me cry, the song always makes me cry too.

Thanks for reacting to PHS and this song. It's the most emotional song for him cos it's the most personal. The pianist, whom PHS met while serving the military, wrote the song and he wrote the lyrics. He's such a beautiful performer and you can feel his soul every time he sings.

Considering you complimented the unique arrangement of “Wild Flower” and his vocal control, I would love for you to listen to “Sound Of Winter” as he recorded this song in Austria with a LIVE orchestra and a choir. It definitely gives me goosebumps. This doesn’t even need to be a reaction video, I would just like to genuinely recommend this song. Check out Ha Hyun Sang's All I Want on the Korean show Superband. He has a very clean voice without the frills but very emotive. He also later joined 3 other musicians on the show to make up the band Hoppipolla that eventually won. They had some very nice covers of English songs like Creep and 1000x. Korean music shows have showcased many amazing artists and brought attention to talents that would otherwise have gone unnoticed. Like Ha Hyun Sang ☺

You remind me so much of Aiden Turner (the actor). Not sure if it's the hair, facial hair, adorable puppy dogs eyes or a combination of all three.
