Patsy Cline was one of the best vocalist to ever live. She was only 30 years old when she was killed in a plane crash in 1963. Check out her songs "Sweet Dreams" (my favorite!) and "I fall to Pieces."

Jennifer Wathen Loretta Lynn idolized Patsy Cline and was devastated when she died. I love watching the joy on his face when he hears a new song. I love that he steps into all genres of music too. He’s so cool, he’s seems like someone I’d like to hang out with and just listen to all kinds of music.

@@briann7495 Just what are you trying to say here because that is total crock? As talented as they all are, Patsy does not have to climb to their level. Patsy died in 1963, how many of your picks were heard of then? The best you could do that sentence is, change to a question, and ask, "where do they rank up there beside her? That is Patsy Cline. Don't lump her in with people you like, just because you are limited; and that they were the only singers you ever heard of, that you liked. Just from depositing that list, tells me that you know exactly "zero" about artists/performers & their talent. Nobody, nobody should be lumped in with Patsy Cline...she was unique. That's the same as saying Roy Orbison has peers.

John Andrews That song makes me cry. I wish he would do Hank Williams Sr, “I’m so lonesome I could Cry.” My Grandma used to cry every time she heard that song. Hank Sr. had a beautiful voice and I’m not a huge country fan, he was an icon in his day, he died too young as well like so many do. Sad.

At age 13, Patsy Cline was hospitalized with a throat infection and rheumatic fever. Speaking of the incident in 1957 she said, "I developed a terrible throat infection and my heart even stopped beating. The doctor put me in an oxygen tent. You might say it was my return to the living after several days that launched me as a singer. The fever affected my throat and when I recovered I had this booming voice like Kate Smith's." It was during this time she developed an interest in singing. (Source Wikipedia)

HE PUT IT AWAY CAUSE HE DIDNT THINK. anyone else could do it justice. Then one day he heard a child f i believe 12 or 13yrs old singing n knew se could sing that song. Her name is leann rimes n this was her breakout song. If you have the cance, a reaction to that song would be amazing. Thanks for checking out Patsy. Bill Mack, aka the "Midnight Cowboy" for many years, the night DJ on radio station WBAP in Dallas/Ft Worth wrote "Blue" says he submitted the demo to Owen Bradley (Patsy's A&R producer) and he had Patsy scheduled to record the song, but, unfortunately she was tragically killed in a plane crash. Willie is a great songwriter, and he did write "Crazy" but not "Blue". I'm a fan of the late Jim Reeves too!

Brilliant song by a brilliant singer. I had forgotten about this song until Fury came out to it Saturday night.

What makes listening to her voice on this recording even more amazing is how long ago it was made.

This is sublime. Many great singers and many great songs... but Patsy singing Crazy is in extremely rarified air, making so many others seem pedestrian by comparison. Her control, tone, and just... everything are absolutely perfect in this song. Each and every time I hear this song I am in awe.

I remember the first time I ever heard her sing, blown away then and nothing’s changed since then. 😎

Patsy was the shit. Country goddess and well deserved. If you don't love Patsy, you've got no soul. And you've got plenty, that's why I dig your channel. Peace brother
