Some people in the comments seem to not know the difference between pointing out a flaw in someone from a loving point of view and being hateful. We are called to love everyone, no matter their lifestyle. BUT, if we see those we love slipping away from Christ, then the best thing we can do is try to reel them back in and not let them slip further. We are all imperfect but by loving one another and supporting each other, we can strive to be the best versions of ourselves. The only problem with what you said at the end is that you mentioned lifestyle. Being gay is not a lifestyle because lifestyle implies choice. And if you still think being gay is a choice, then you truly don't know any gay people. I'll never forget a conversation I had with my boss's husband who told me he wishes more than anything that he was straight. He said " why would I wish for this? Why would I want to be hated on and discriminated against and treated like less than a human being?" And if you talk to these folks, they will tell you that they knew they were gay from a very young age. From a young age when you and I were thinking about which girls in our class were cute, they were thinking about which boys in their class were cute. That wasn't taught to them, that's just who they were/are. So if you don't think that these people should act upon their desires, does that mean they should never know love? Never get to experience growing old with someone? They should just hang out in their mom's basement the rest of their lives? I'm happy for Scott. He's super happy & married to the love of his life. How can i tell him it's wrong? His marriage will probably be more successful than most straight marriages, half of which end up in divorce. Many Christians don't want to believe that gay people are part of God's design because that would seem like God's design has a flaw. But how else do you explain it? That the devil got to them at the time that they were two or three years old? Now they're damned because of something they can't control? No one's ever prayed away the gay in somebody. And there have been other translations of the book of Leviticus that suggest it said man shall not lay down with boys (in response to the Roman lifestyle) as they do women... But of course the Catholic Church likely change the translation to say lay down with man in order to control people. I don't know the answer, but what I do know is that gay people don't choose to be gay. And I don't think God would damn these people from a young age over something that they can't control. If He truly loves us all, then He loves us all. And if someone's only sin is that they fell in love with someone of the same sex, then they are doing better than me and are more likely to enter heaven. Who am i to judge and throw stones?

As an African American minister (40 years ago) he loved his son he never threw the Bible at either on of us. With his guidance we both thrived and I believe have added, in a positive way, to society. Thank you minister for this response. God loves all. No one sin is rated differently than the other. Nowhere have I ever been taught or read that being a homosexual (which they didn't have a direct translation or word for that back then) is the ultimate sin and is worse than lying or adultery. Sin is sin. And Jesus died for ALL sins. Not specific ones where we can pick and choose, which is exactly what happens. It enrages me when people refer to being gay as a lifestyle. That denotes it's a choice. I'm a proud gay man myself and believe with my whole heart that Christ is my Lord and savior and I know he loves me for who I am and my eternity in heaven is secured. For so long I didn't go to church for the very reason I was told I'm going to hell for who I am. I tried to end my life once upon a time as a result of this. It wasn't until I found an affirming church that embraces the LGBTQ community wholeheartedly and still spreads God's word that he loves all. Not just specific people. I know God loves me for who I love and I'll be in heaven someday rejoicing I lived my true authentic self the way he wanted us all to live. To say otherwise goes against all of what God represents and that simply is: LOVE.

I am a Christian that struggles with same sex attraction. I used to live a life where I gave in to my attractions and it made my mental health plummet and then I found Jesus and He saved me from my deep depression. There is nothing wrong with what this creator said. He literally said that he doesn’t agree with or support the lifestyle of going through with same sex attraction and then he said that he still loves and cares for gay people. Me being a man going into a relationship with another man is a sin. Whether you like it or not it is wrong and God told us it’s wrong and this is coming from a gay person so you can’t say that I’m being hateful or whatever toward gay people because I used to live in that lifestyle thinking that God was okay with it and that there is nothing wrong with it but through life trials and circumstances I’ve learned the truth and the truth is that acting on gay feelings is wrong. Saying the heart wants what the heart wants is dangerous because our hearts are the most deceiving parts of the human body (Jeremiah 17:9-10). I still listen to ptx all the time. Do I agree with how some of the members live their lives? No, but how they live their lives is between them and God. I can tell them what the Bible says and warn them and other gay people that what they are doing is wrong but ultimately the choice is theirs and the choices they make are between them and God. I love ptx. I’ve always loved ptx been a fan since 2015 I think. It’s okay to have differences of opinion on things. Ultimately we are called as Christian’s to warn people about what’s right and wrong, tell them the good news of Jesus, and simply just love them no matter how they live their lives
Firstly i am not a Chritian but i believe in god. Not the judgemental... Hell and brimstone one i hear all Christians talk about when they don't like or agree with something. The god I believe in is the one who opens his arms wide and embraces every single one of us, who loves us no matter what journey this thing called life takes us on. We all are created in the image of God, but we are NOT all God's children. There is a distinction. Only those who are born again are children of God. (John 1:12; 11:52; Romans 8:16-17, 1 John 3:1-10, Galatians 3:26-27) We become God’s children when we are saved because we are adopted into God’s family through our relationship with Jesus Christ.(Galatians 4:5-6; Ephesians 1:5)
It's okay to get upset regarding his comments and others in support, but it's better to get active. Keep in mind that the opinions expressed doesn't just stay on a RU-vid page. They weaponize it when they vote or support public officials that make life more difficult for gay people. From opposing healthcare, housing and job security for LGBTQ people, to giving comfort to those who would do more immediate harm, this "hate the sin, love the sinner" mentality is of no comfort to those suffering the effects of the sin hating. So, channel your emotions into civic and personal actions that help make this one life we know, better and safer for the people such as those that he has made the subject of his opinion.

When I accept the gift of Salvation from the LORD, understand how He hates ALL sin, yet loved me so much that He sent His most precious, most perfect, most innocent Son to pay the ultimate penalty for MY sin, I fall to the floor in gratitude & love. What I must NOT do is forget how sin-filled I STILL am. I....We....if we forget how in Every Single Day we sin over & over again, we will be vulnerable to gravitating to thinking other people's sins are worse than our own. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God". "All" means you and me, brother. Jesus said "A new Commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, that ye have love one to another." (John 13:35-35) He also commanded us to "go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15. The Gospel is 'The Good News'! That Jesus has paid the ultimate price. That there is a way back to having a relationship with God! That's it. That's our job. It is God's job to forgive. It is God's job to judge. It is God's job to teach. Our jobs, once again, is to love, bring the gospel - the good news - to the lost, and to work on our own sin-filled lives. If you choose to only react to people & groups who are without sin....you're going to have to find another job. There is no such person or group. You're going to have to stop going to church, because the churches are only filled with sinners. Forgiven sinners, yes. Also, active sinners. So, let's always be super aware of our own sin, so that we may approach 'the world' with the love of God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit, and not think we are in a loftier position than we are.
I love this but I don't think you listened to what I said because I agree wholeheartedly with what you said. I stated at the end that I sin daily. The difference is living in the sin and being okay with it. We are to be transformed by Jesus and not continue in living a sinful lifestyle. This was amazing! The gifts God has bestowed on these 5 people is ethereal. Every good and perfect gift is from above and should not be diminished by others. I, too, feel the same about the lifestyle but I feel that every time this group sings about Jesus they are expressing their belief in Him. They wouldn’t able to sing from their souls and evoke emotions if it weren’t so. Every time they sing spiritually they plant a seed in someone and that seed will grow and God will harvest. We all live in sin regardless of our spiritual condition. All sins, but one, can be forgiven if we ask for it and turn from that sin. Pray for a change but respect God’s divine gift.
As a Christian reactor, you MUST listen to Gabriel Henrique - in my opinion, the greatest singer in the world right now. He is also a devout Christian. He is Brazilian, and doesn’t speak a lot of English, though he’s learning. He is a gospel singer and worship leader at his church in Brazil, but he also sings English covers - epic songs mostly, and he is uniquely gifted to sing top diva songs because he sings in the same keys as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and all the famous divas! He has a HUGE vocal range, and is a true tenor with a vocal tone so amazing, people have accused him of rigging his recordings. So he went out to his car and sang the same songs without a microphone, proving to all that his talent is true! He is the real deal, and in spite of his world-class voice, he is a sweet, simple, kind young man with true humility. He started singing at three years old as a child prodigy and gives God the glory for giving him his voice. You will not be the same after hearing him sing. See and hear his videos on RU-vid. I suggest a few songs to get started, but the rabbit hole leads to a huge library of songs that are all flawless. Once you start, you will never want to stop listening to him. He was a sensation on AGT this past season, and recently was showcased on the Jennifer Hudson show. Listen to: “Oh Holy Night” which he sang in Romania - beautifully, even though he was so sick upon arrival, he was hospitalized two days before the concert, with a throat infection! He also sang “Oh Happy day” as a duet and it was so amazing he was asked to encore it at the end of the program! He does a beautiful rendition of “Goodness of God”. Two secular covers to start with would be “Run To You” by Whitney Houston and “I’m telling you I’m not going”, done by Jennifer Hudson, which is a tour de force. I have been taught by a woman, who found Christ as her savior at age 4. We don't need to approve of their lifestyle, but the Lord also demands we love EVERYONE for how they are, and to pray and show by example what living for Christ is about. She told me that their relationship with the Lord is theirs, and it's not for us to judge what that person chooses. I know a number of people who love their own sex, but they are also Christians, and don't live with someone without the sanction of a commitment to each other and to our almighty Father. For whatever their flaws, in their personal life, it's not for us to judge. That is what Jesus died on the cross for, and I don't think it's our job to do what Jesus did for them. We are here to love them as they are, and to show by example what living a clean Christian life can be like, should they choose to open their eyes to the Lord. I appreciate your point of view, but also feel there are a number of other scriptures that speaks of sinful behaviors, and Jesus gave us the grace, to be forgiven and accepted as we are now, and allow Him to mold us into what we are meant to become before He brings us home. I am a Christian. I listened to all of Pentatonix songs-then when I found out about two of their preferences-I stopped listening, but then I loved their songs and their singing-after much prayer, I began to listen once again and I do pray for them, but then I believe that LOVE is alot different than lust-I pray that God sees that true love and affection overpowers what the gospel was trying to say-We should love their souls-their music and love thy neighbor-I think they have grown in their vocals and now I have no problem enjoying their talent. On another reaction- cat lady asked if this song would be played for her because this would be her last Christmas(if she makes it to this Christmas) and I balled my eyes out to think that this was on her bucket list. Pentatonix touches the heart of many... and so You said for people to write to you privately-yet you condemned such an amazing performance through not even allowing the song to touch your own heart., so I doubt anyone will hold back publicly.

i have just watched your reaction to this amazing group and enjoyed it until you started talking about your belief's and saying that two of the members are sinners because of their lifestyle. if you read the bible it condones incest rape and murder sleeping with your mother to name just a few !!! If you follow the bible, the Pope is God's voice on Earth and the Pope just allowed the blessing of LGBTQ+ couples. The Old Testament was written 2K+ years ago by men, you also shouldn't be wearing mixed fabrics, eating shellfish, getting tattoos, or a million other things by your own admission. Picking and choosing what you feel is right is changing it with time.

How can you hear this song, singing of God’s Word and desire to deliver us, and have in the back of your mind how sinful certain members are? Our world needs to hear the Gospel, as much, if not more, than it ever has. If those sinful humans on PTX, are His hands and feet, who are you to question Him. He will deal with them in His time, and His way. Since I know God as infinitely loving and compassionate, those members might be in a position than most, when all is said and done.

Imagine calling people out for something you dont agree with and still using their popularity to grow your channel. Word has gotten out that you're judgmental. Ptx has a very loyal fanbase. Scott and Mitch are probably the most popular of the group and their fans will definitely stand up for them. Word has already gotten around about what you said and many now refuse to watch any further. Not only will they not watch byt you'll lose subscribers. It's happened to other reactors when they revealed their true colors. Pentatonix is all about loving and accepting people for who they are. You're clearly not. Who says your way is the only way? Kevin and Matt are very religious and they're fine with their band mates. They're all Christians btw.

I was disappointed, as a born again Christian, to your reference of a sinful life being led by Scott and Mitch. I'm not here for an argument, but an observation. Let me start by saying, I left my church and won't go back because of statements like these. If I may continue.... Every day, every single person sins and falls short of the Glory of God, yet Christians tend to focus on homosexual activity and don't often look in the mirror at their own sin. 1. Holding grudges 2. Justifying wrong attitudes 3. Putting your desires first (before God) 4. Feeling annoyed over the success of others 5. Getting hurt easily and reacting out of the hurt 6. Underpaying (taking advantage of others’ work) 7. Skimping on the work you are being paid to do 8. Criticizing and finding fault - secretly or outwardly 9. Focusing on the cares of the world - putting your full attention and trust in the “things” of the world, like money, social media status, power, possessions and image. When we allow that to define us, we lose focus of who we are in Christ. This doesn’t mean not caring about what happens in the world. 10. Gossiping or speaking unkindly of those not present. 11. Divorce 12. Soft porn in movies and on our tv screens. 13. Violence, hate and anger in our movies and on our TV screens. 14. Treating our bodies poorly with no exercise, drunkenness, drugs, and poor food choices or gluttony. 15. Looking the other way at the poor and those in need... Not just when it comes to food, but taking a senior to surgery when they have no car, helping them get to medical appointments, visiting the forgotten in nursing homes. 16. Speaking out of both sides of their mouths, Loving God, but passing judgement on others reserved only for God. And on and on I could go. It's frustrating, to me, as a Christian, that select sins are completely ignored. The violence, nudity, sex our children see every single day on TV is disgusting, yet no one speaks up. So that's my two cents on the issue. My heart hurts....
I guess in a nutshell and to break it down to one topic other than homosexuality... If a Christian has ever watched a movie or TV show, more than once, that contains a heterosexual couple having sex in bed or any partial nudity, they are watching soft porn; having watched it more than once is clearly not trying to change a sinful behavior, but continues to feed their lust watching soft porn. One sin is not greater or lesser than another.
That's why you pray. The old and new testament compliment each other. God does not change His own truths. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Jesus does not condemn the sinner, He reaches out to the sinner. I know and love many homosexual people. I do not condemn them. They all know I do not agree with their lifestyle, but they also know I am there for them and love them. Everybody is made in the image of God. Nobody is born homosexual. Some that confided in me said a very traumatic event or series of traumatic events caused their decision. These people know God will help them if they ask Him. That is their choice as well. You pray, you show them God's love, and you love them.

I am sick to death of “Christian” reactors feeling the need to discuss sexuality in the reactions. The Bible is written by men. It is full of “sins” which are ignored and frankly laughable today. When was the last time you called out a heterosexual singer for likely not following the biblical dietary restrictions, do you follow them? No? But sure let’s focus on two adults and who they choose to love. I assume you chose to monetize your reaction to these “sinners” though. We all know what the Bible says about greed. Shame on you.

You know I agree that homosexuality is a sin. But I will say God is still using pentatonix to reach others. I know of several young men who gave their lives to the lord after hearing amazing grace my chains are gone by pentatonix. God will use anyone or anything to spread his message. I think pentatonix is a group that stands with each other and God is still working on the hearts of all of them.
