Wait, I'm not crying, you're crying.... This is a masterpiece and so is Pentatonix; They are all gems and they love doing what they do and uplifting their fans is an important part of that. Great reaction Jen.. You are a beautiful gem yourself and I do shed some H20 when listening to this rendition. I do hope you get to see PTX in person soon.

I loved Everything you said about these 5 super talented kids (I’m 65, so for me, they’re kids). I was screaming YES your right, at my screen when you started talking about this being a Celine Dion and Andrea Bucelli song. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and tears with us, we’ll cry together. Just Jen- I’m 53 years old. I’ve been listening to Pentatonix since the beginning on The Sing Off in 2011. I’m finally going to their concert in Minneapolis on 12/18/21!!! VIP, 8th row!!! A dream come true for sure!!! Your time will come. I’ve seen Home Free 3 times, but that’s because they’re kinda, sorta local(Minnesota/Wisconsin.) My next goal is Voiceplay in concert even if I have to travel somewhere!! Thank you for your reactions!!

I have another suggestion for you. They aren't a capella, but they're damn good. It's a group called Chapel Hart. They are a country vocal group. I saw them when they finished their season of AGT in the top 3. Their first audition was a song of their own called You Can Have Him, Jolene. And yes, it is a follow-up to Jolene. Dolly heard the song and gave it her stamp of approval. Loretta Lynn heard it and suggested that maybe they could update one of her songs next. They finally got a contract to appear at the Opry after that performance, especially with some pressure from some of the biggest artists in country music. Just a thought.

FYI, this isn't actually a religious song (originally). It came from an animated movie "Quest for Camelot" and is a mother's prayer that her daughter will find safety in her journey. The original lyric is "I pray SHE'LL be all right" and other words make it clear that the mother is wishing her daughter luck in finding her way through very difficult situations. Celine Dion was one of the singing voice talents in the movie. Later, Celine and Andrea Bocelli did a duet when they changed the words to the more generic "Let US find our way" style. You are correct in your memory of who had this as a big hit.

@@chrispavlich9656 In the context of the movie, the citizens are a religious lot - as were ALL of the Knights of the Round Table - and therefore, I would guess the prayer is to the Christian God. Which still doesn't make it expressly a religious song. It was a movie song in a religious environment. As compared to songs such as "Panis Angelicus" or "Ave Maria."

The album this is from got nominated for a Grammy but didn't win. I am still trying to figure out how the song itself didn't get nominated. It was one of the most spectacular renditions of any song I have heard. But then I am also flabbergasted that they didn't get nominated for Bohemian Rhapsody either. That was just an otherworldly production. Grammy just seems to hate a capella for some reason.

I so agree with you. Pentatonix, SUPERFRUIT, and all of them as individuals is the only music I have listened to since I discovered them 10 yrs ago. True story. Ask my very annoyed family 😃💜

For me, PTX makes me feel better, always...yes, music is a great healer, therapy or a lyrical hug. I would have been in very bad places if not for the healing powers of music. I hope you can get to see them live at some stage - just an FYI,there is a virtual concert happening Dec19 or 20 depending on your timeZone. It's their Christmas tour, for all of us that couldn't get to the live tour .

I live in Cleveland and went to see them in Pittsburgh ( BOO) with my daughter and granddaughter and have seen them before but this was by far the best concert ever ! Yes, even the Grinch was there ! They also did Over The River.... you need to watch that, it is so fun with Lindsey Sterling. If you want to go to the Columbus concert I'd be happy to go with, there is no such thing in seeing PTX too much ! P.S. My 8 yr old granddaughter would love to see them again too 😁 P.S.S. Go Browns ‼🏈

Hi Just Jen...I am with you all the way with this one....not just this song (Bocelli/Dion) but anything that Pentatonix sings. You have good taste my dear and if it makes you think of your grandmother then all the better. I love a cappella groups especially Pentatonix and Home FREE. They are of a different genres but equally as gorgeous with their voices and beat boxing. Celine Dion also recorded this with Josh Groben....way back when.....but when you hear a cappella it is a whole new sound and it does bring one to tears. I used to be in a church choir and we sang this song so it brings back very special memories to me as well. Be yourself Just Jen and feel the emotions......music is my passion and as I am now a terminally ill person, I will put on my headphones and listen to what moves me. I must admit that the greatest of all time for me will always be ELVIS.....until I die....

This song is actually "Celine Dion" & Andrea Bocelli". They have recorded 10 albums now and this song is on the 2021 Christmas album. They can sing their butts off and for an acapella group they are amazing. They record all in a studio of course but can perform it live just like the videos. Another song by them you should react to is their cover of "Hallejuha" & "Sounds of Silence" those covers are also AMAZING. Oh, another acapella group you need to check out is "Home Free" did a cover of "Boyz II Men's" End of the Road and killed it.

Fun fact about this version of The prayer that PTX did, it's a hybrid between Celine Dion and Andrea bocelli and Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin. It's a fact that Mitch and other members love Gospel music. So they took bits and pieces from the two songs and made an amazing masterpiece ❤️. Check out the Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin version and you'll see what I mean 🙏🏾❤️

Wow Jen...your eyes are so pretty. How have I not noticed before that one is blue and the other brown? I first heard this sung by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion.

My eyes are actually hazel. One of my eyes is much greener than the other, but this is a blue contact lens, missing one bc I have conjunctivitis in the one eye. I love blue eyes, but not enough to go have them surgically changed. So I use contacts instead!

I just took my mom to see them last nite in New Jersey (and I drove up from North Carolina!), but the next vid you should check out is Evergreen. They wrote it for their mothers and it is a Christmas song, so beautifully done 🙏🙌💜🥰

Hang in there Jen. I pray you and yours will have a fantastic Christmas this year. Like you, I would love to go see Pentatonix in person but doubt, for me, that will ever happen. I have listened to or watched them ever since I watched them on TV when my kids were teens. I love them and their music. I think you will have a chance one of these days to go to one of their shows. I think we have been.... Mitch Slapped Scott Shocked Kirstie Clapped KO'd by KO Mesmerized by Matt All at once. At about 2:50 in their video they hit that huge chord and sound like an organ. Not sure there are words in any language that describe what they do. The music they put out in 2020 was what kept many Pentaholics sane that year. I know I looked forward to listening to them after long hours running a grocery store.
