The music video for it is hilarious-they actually have dancing hot dogs by a swimming pool & a 6 foot Frog Butler serving drinks. This was a Top Of The Pops performance.

This was sung on a British pop chats TV programme called 'Top of the Pops, which ran until 2006. All singers on this program were made to lip sync, with some musicians even turning down appearances as they weren't allowed to sing live. Recommendation to review Dire Straights - Brothers in arms.

The name for the band was from Paddy the singer misquoting a phrase that Frank Sinatra said. Frank didn't say Prefab Sprout, but Paddy thought that was what he said.

I prefer their more ballad-like sound. Their second album (Steve McQueen/Two wheels good - depending on where it was released) was execellent all through!
