Well that's a new one! I am going with Queen's "A Winter'sTale" if my exit is during the Fall-Winter. Still working on the Spring -Summer selection...and I am of that same generation but found Queen late in life. Even bettter now.
This song was featured in one of the most hilarious zombie cult classics 👉 “Shaun Of The Dead”. 🧟♂️🧟♀️. The song continues to be featured in various media, commercials, TV shows, & film. 🎥Awesome!!! Thank you for the reaction!
Your generation has no idea what it missed out on by being deprived of the opportunity to see Queen with Freddie live. Absolutely incredible! For a completely different Queen, that you would never in a zillion years guess who it was simply by hearing the song, check out their song 39 (that’s the title - 39). Super catchy tune that will stay in your head all day. Once you hear it you will HAVE to hear it again, and I guarantee that in your “alone” time you will play it two or three times in a row!
His generation is my generation and I have absolutely no idea how he's never heard this before. I'm a 90s kid and was brought up listening to the oldies and legends. This generation is the start of the earth's self-appocolytic event... How he knows that was Howard Stern definitely tells you he's heard this before.
The man you keep referring to as Howard Stern happens to be Sir Dr Brian May. He is brilliant man with an IQ of 180. There are two songs I am requesting please. You Take My Breath Away the official video, it has beautiful harmonies that is all Freddie layering his vocals, and Who Wants To Live Forever Live at Wembley 1986, you will hear the beauty and power in Freddie’s voice. They are thee best live band ever.
Try Hyde Park 1976 Every Breath You Take and White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975. Other greats: Spread Your Wings, Play The Game, One Year Of Love, Death on Two Legs (the ultimate angry at the Thieving managers song)
You can’t say you’ve even touched Queen until you listen to the entire 22 minutes from Live Aid. It’s been said to be one of the greatest performances ever
You have just barely got a toe wet in the Queen catalog. There are over 200 songs for you to review with different live versions of the same song. You will totally enjoy Barcelona and Who Wants to Live Forever, live at Budapest.
Howard Stern? That is Dr. Brian May, an Astrophysicist and guitar virtuoso. yes, he has a PhD is astrophysics. All 4 of them have college degrees. No other band can say that all the band members have a degree.
What a lovely reaction! I was lucky enough to meet Freddie in London before he was famous and can say that he was indeed an exceptionally bright and beautiful spirit, though here with us on Earth for but a short time. Although I never followed Queen's career over the years, he remains in my heart, as a precious memory. Brian (the guitarist, whose natural corkscrew locks are now snowy white) has said he always feels torn with this song, because he felt perhaps they (he and the other members of the band) should have tried to protect Freddie better during a period when he was possibly going a bit overboard in celebrating his long-suppressed sexuality, which may have been a factor in his HIV/AIDS illness and premature death. I think this song coincides with that exhilarating period of self discovery and freedom before it all came crashing down. Although supposedly scientifically proven to be the 'happiest song' ever it's bittersweet for me, too, for that same reason. If you haven't already seen them, I'd recommend White Queen, Live at the Odeon, Hammersmith, and Somebody To Love, Live at Montreal, 1981 - and, of course, Queen's famous Live Aid set at Wembley from 1985 (make sure you get the proper video that doesn't cut out before the end). Or, for something more intimate, try You Take My Breath Away, Live at Hyde Park, 1975(?) or My Melancholy Blues, Houston (date???). Oh, and then there's their Top of the Pops performance of their first really big hit, Killer Queen, with Freddie having fun camping it up in a second-hand fur coat...
I can’t count on two hands how many times I’ve seen this exact reaction to this song. One of those songs that never fail get get people moving and excited.
🤣🤣🤣 “Howard Stern sure can play the freakin’ guitar!” 🤣🤣🤣 (Actually, Brian May was recently interviewed by Howard Stern… about the fact that Brian had just been voted BEST GUITARIST (ever!) by Guitar World magazine.)
Congratulations, it’s your day to be honored with the “What’s up with the mayonnaise” honors. It’s there just to see how many people just have to ask and it never gets answered. Averages about one a day. But today is special because you made it four in one day!👏👏🎉🎊👏👏 And everyone thinks they’re the first to ask lol 😂😂😂
This son was written by bassist John Deacon. It’s been voted the most feel good song. Brian May built that guitar, called The Red Special. All band members have degrees in higher education
Diving deep? With 5 hit singles. I think you don’t know what “deep” means. You want deep, try MARCH OF THE BLACK QUEEN. They never even played it live but every true Queen fan loves it.
You had to be there in 70s and 80s to see Queen. Brian May is an underrated genius guitarist. Enjoy yourself watching them. Amazing rock band with amazing songs and sadly missrd singer RIP Freddie Mercury.
I would say Brian May is the greatest guitarist of all times he is incredible but Queen was also the greatest band of all times but I grew up with Queen they were brilliant. uk uk uk
Love this song.always makes me happy and you have to move to it. This is in simon pegg's first film of his cornetto trilogy.shaun of the dead.the other two being hot fuzz and world's end. There's a scene in shaun of the dead when the group are in the Winchester pub surrounded by zombies the jukebox starts playing this song which attracts the now zombie pub manager.they have to fight him with snooker cues.
How old are you and how have you not heard 🎶 Don't stop me now, cause I'm having a good time having a good time 🎶 ? Like have you been in acoma since you were born? Like the reaction anyway. Always a joy to see someone discovering something they haven't heard before. (Nice pointing out Howard Stern.)
I am a simple, old man with a strange kind of (german) humor, but: Reacting to Queen while wearing a King shirt ... epic! XD My favourite lyric part of this song is: "... passing by like Lady Godiva", because I know who "Lady Godiva" was! ;) Anyway: Can't wait for your next Queen reaction. There are still a bunch of epic songs for you to discover! Makes me kind of jealous ... *lol
Great reaction!! Other Queen Suggestions: - Innuendo (a very deep song) - Another one bites the dust (very rhythmic) - Who wants to live forever/official video (a sad and beautiful song) - Somebody to love /official video (amazing voices) - I want it all (very strong) - Save me - A kind of magic - Its a hard life ¡Saludos, desde Argentina!
Hi Michael 👍🏼 i have banned this music by QUEEN "Don't stop me now" when i drive my car just because my right foot go on the music tempo ha ha ha ha ha same on DEEP PURPLE "Highway Star" ... I am so lucky that no speed camera in sweden have seen me Huuuuh or maybe i have driving so fast that the camera dont get my speed ha ha ha ha ha THX Michael for a really good react on "Don't stop me now" by QUEEN..🎶🇸🇪👍🏼🇺🇲👍🏼🇸🇪🎶
That was thing about Queen. Brian May (guitar), and Roger Taylor (drums) also had solo careers so they could really sing. If you only gone into Queen 5 or 6 songs you haven’t even scratched the surface. Brian & Roger are still playing concerts as Queen & Adam Lambert. You spoke about movie soundtracks, they did the songs for Flash Gordon & Highlander. I loved your reaction. I will be subscribing.
Most people have no idea that the Guitarist Brian May @3:28 co-founded Queen with Freddie Mercury and went on to become a well-known Astrophysicist and was eventually Knighted. He has gone on to perform with Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga.
I just loved to see you get as enthusiastic as me more than 30 years ago. This is not my favourite song, but yes, put Freddie in front of a piano and sure as hell you won’t be disappointed. Yes Brian May CAN play a guitar. And write a thesis about astrophysics too. Those 4 were magical together, and I deeply regret that I was to young to see them onstage, Freddie passed away when I was in middle school, not very long after I really started to listen to them.
"Queen" and "overrated" do not ever belong in the same sentence. Fun fact: this song was actually a filler to complete an album -- and like everything Queen touched, became a masterpiece!
FYI Brian May The guitarist uses a sixpence ( a british coin) as a pick . . Its about the size of a i think a dime or nickle . . . He says it gives a "brighter" sound . . .
Hey from Germany . That was a really strong reaction . But I love this song and I can understand it . If you listen behind the lines then you know what was going on in Freddie
