@@ABtheKreator Little factoids: Roger Taylor, the drummer has that high voice. Dr. Brian May's father made his guitar, The Red Special. Every band member has at least one #1 single written by them. Freddie was born in Zanzibar to Persian parents. John Deacon built special amps for the group, he has a degree in Electronic Engineering.

My favorite Queen song of all time!! Love the studio version & every live version out there. Gotta do this song live in Montreal 1981 considered Queen’s best performance! I personally prefer the live version at Milton Keynes 1982 which is more powerful (if that’s even possible). Then there’s young Freddie live at Hammersmith & his vocals are completely unleashed! BRILLIANT SONG!!

You are obviously fairly new to Queen, so a quick run down, members are Freddie Mercury, lead singer piano and occasional guitar. Brian May, lead guitar and vocals. Roger Taylor, drums and vocals. John Deacon, bassist and fewer vocals (but wrote some great songs and baselines). In return for all this info I would kindly ask you to react to Live Aid 1985.

Queen created beautiful harmonies in the studios, but their live performances were on another level. They all were masters of their instruments. Freddie mentioned in an interview: „For Somebody To Love, we had the same 3 people singing on the big choir section, but I think it had a different kind of technical approach because it was a gospel way of singing - which was different to us. That track was me going a bit mad. I just wanted to write something in the Aretha Franklin kind of mode. I was inspired by the gospel approach she had on her earlier albums. Although it might sound like the same approach on the harmonies, it is very different in the studio because it’s a different range.”

Like everyone else said- the live Montreal performance is the one you should do next (💜 that “outfit” from Freddie). After that work your way through the Live Aid set list. So you are fully prepared to react to Live Aid. Set list- Bohemian Rhapsody Radio GaGa Hammer to fall Crazy little thing called love We will Rock You We are the Champions. As always, this was a GREAT reaction! Edit: If I remember correctly you told another subscriber that you know We will Rock you/We are the Champions. You just didn’t know they were by Queen. So that means you are only three reactions away from knowing the entire set list. I’m so exited about that!

The backup singers are: Brian May - lead guitarist, Roger Taylor - drummer and John Deacon - bass guitarist. Queen did it all themselves...... All 4 band members were exceptional musicians....... exceptional vocalists (except John) ...... and exceptional songwriters. Each of the 4 wrote some of the bands #1 hits - the only band that can claim that !!!! And they were all very highly educated: Freddie - graphic design, Brian May - astrophysicist, Roger Taylor - biology, John Deacon - electronics. The original 4 member of Queen were together for 20 years ........ from 1971 until Freddie's tragic death from AIDS in 1991. You have a long Queen journey ahead of you....... 20 years of Queen greatness..... Enjoy !!! And... you'll never get bored. Queen could sing any genre and they always surprised everyone with each of their albums and songs. And... they were even better live than in the studio...... Enjoy !!!

Freddie had 4 extra teeth that caused his over bite and refused to have them pulled as he thought it would alter his voice. He also had a large upper pallet which allowed him to have the best singing range ever. He was also classically. Freddie was a once in a lifetime phenomenon that will never be replicated. I absolutely loved this group and was fortunate to grow up with them in the 70’s and 80’s.

Queen and Phil Collins, two of my favorite groups/people. I raised my daughter on 1970's to 1980's groups and people. Amazing what was old is now new. I enjoy bands and individuals who can SING in person, not have to prance around on stage with background dancers, and who are nice people. Compare Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody with Pentatonix's version. Brian May, the guitarist for Queen, heard it and gave them his blessing.

Brian May CBE is the lead guitarist, has a beautiful voice and fun fact, is also an astrophysicist. Roger Taylor OBE is the drummer(also has an absolutely seraphic voice-check it out when he does "Under Pressure" with Adam Lambert). John Deacon is the Bassist, and retired after Freddie's passing. They all have beautiful voices that harmonise well together. If you've not seen it, I highly recommend you watch Queen's Live Aid performance. It's quite possibly the most perfect live performance ever, from the timing, sound, vocals, everything.

Anything and everything from Montreal 1981 is a MUST! Princes of the Universe official video and One Vision, Now I'm here and Who wants to live forever all live at Wembley. Though that's just a fraction of their songs.

There's a great medley beginning with In the Lap of The Gods right after that, sequeing into Seven Seas of Rhye and finishing with Tear It Up! Practically anything from that concert is awwesome, but Freddie really gets the crowd going with Another One Bites the Dust! BTW, all four band members wrote #1 hits!

Notice the 'backup singers' are also his drummer & guitarists. His band could do it all. When Freddie dies, after a while, they started touring again with a new lead singer, Adam Lambert & maybe he didn't write or create these masterpieces, he does a damn good job, emulating Freddie. I was pleasantly shocked, when I heard Queen, with a new queen. Both Adam & Freddie are gay & beloved as they are. You might wanna check one out with his singing, to compare his performances to Freddies. Definitely different styles of dressing, but Adam tries to do Freddies songs like Freddie.

Nice reaction. Freddie Mercury lead singer and pianist, Brian May guitar and vocals, Roger Taylor drums and vocals and John Deacon Bass and some vocals.

I started listening to you today. I watched you cover 2 Righteous Brothers songs and a couple from Queen. I wanted you to know, I am a white man and I thoroughly enjoy your facial expressions when you hear something you love. I am from that era of Queen and also listened to many older entertainers from the 60's on up. Hearing Unchained Melody from the Righteous Brothers brought to mind a vocalist from a period of the mid 80's (perhaps earlier) Aaron Neville. I thought he was the one who invented that style of "crooning", but it seems I was wrong. Thank you for bringing this amazing music to light for the younger generations! Keep doing what you do, Sir!

It took Freddie a while (and many tries) to find that somebody to love, but he found him in 1985, and they were together until Freddie's death in 1991. They called each other husband

We kidded bout Freddie when I was a kid, but as I grew up, I had to recognize. Dude was one of the best vocalists in Rock history and his band was incredible. God bless you, Brother. Keep rocking and loving life
