This was Freddie's last video. His friend made the vest those are Freddie's cats. The last I love you was a goodbye to his fans. RIP Freddie we will always love you
By this time poor Freddie was so sick, in pain, his illness so devastatingly obvious but somehow he kept on singing and making music for us till he couldn't do it anymore. That tells you just how much he loved us 💖 he gave us everything he possibly could before he left us.
@@madicelander every person you meet knows something you don’t, we all have to start somewhere. Every single reactor finds knowledge from Queen fans written in the comment section. You can either take the opportunity to share something or just scroll on…
Roger Taylor the drummer wrote this song about his children and life in general, but it took on a whole new meaning in Freddie's interpretation. Freddie Mercury was near to the end of his life. This video is bitter sweet to all Queen fans, because the music is beautiful, the lyrics is very positive, but to see Freddie at this late stage of his illness is very painful.
It's never too late to expand our horizons and find the life affirming, Spirit building positive music, art, literature, and mindset. You said it well! Shutting off the aggressive and divisive stuff for bridge building and uplifting and we CAN restore our society to one of harmony and familial unity. Refuse to be divided, insist on unity! Life can still be so much better than the politicians and haters are making it to be. It's up to us to BE the very change we want to see. It's not too late.
I think Queen's wide range has something for everyone - especially when you hunt out the smaller gems, outside the big hits. You can hear stellar R&B vocals on ONE YEAR OF LOVE, the fun of COOL CATS with a wild bass line, the love lost of SAVE ME (live at Montreal). All so different.
He crossed genres. And had an amazing passion for opera.... He could even pull that off to perfection. Watch 'Barcelona' with Montserrat Cabellera. Beautiful.
Thank you for reacting. RIP Freddie. As much as this video makes me cry, I treasure his goodbye to us. He loved performing, and he loved Queen's fans. All his fans. He could hardly stand at this point. Roger wrote this, I believe, but it took on a different meaning when Freddie sang it in this, his last video. I miss you all, Queen band mates, as the combo you were. 💔
Wow, I love your insight about this song, and how it is so calming. I find that no matter what is going on with me, when I hear this song it put so much into perspective. If I’m having a bad day, although this song will make me sad and make me miss Freddie, it easily turns my day and my perspective around. I loved this reaction. You have a new subscriber in me😊❤
That song ,video breaks my heart but at same time ..somehow fitting and beautiful. I'm happy for Freddie he got to do what he loved with ppl who loved him until the end .
That vest was made for Freddie and those are images of his own cats. Freddie loved cats and at the time of his passing he had 7. This was Freddie's last video and by this time he was very thin and was having difficulty standing because about half of one of his feet was missing due to an infection and his lack of immunity caused by the AIDS virus. Roger wrote this song about his children but Freddie singing it at this point in his life gave the song a feeling that it was about Freddie.
This was the last video Freddie did, and the second to last time John Deacon played with Queen. The only other time he John did a video with the band was to do a tribute song to Freddie, "No One But You". He felt there couldn't be "Queen" without Freddie.
I loved your "view" from a general "worldview" as just a song to vibe by. For us Queen fan it's so much more. Unfortunately Freddie was dying at this point, his last video, this was a goodbye to his fans. But I appreciate your view as a non fan to a fabulous song in its own right. But for us Queen/Freddie fans it was heartbreaking to see him so sick and deteriorated. To resign himself to just going on but appreciating his life that he had lived. Just heartbreaking, but I understand that you didn't get this after not seeing that much of his career to this point. The greatest frontman/songwriter ever. We are still in tears that he is gone too soon.
Great reaction with regards on the music that influences us. You should listen to A Winter's Tale, it's one of the very last songs he wrote. He was very ill by this time but he was determined to bless our ears with this song. It's about the view he seen from his window in Montreux, it's beautiful, IMO.
There is color video of this in a behind the scenes look at the making of the video. They shot this one and "I'm Going Slightly Mad" in black & white to try to mask, as much as possible, how ill Freddie was. 😢 Your reaction was very enjoyable and thoughtful. Thank you! ❤
After Freddie died, the remaining members of Queen sang, Only the Good Die Young. After this John left the group and never played with Queen again. Have the Kleenex available.
Please continue your journey following Queen. You MUST do their performance at 'Live Aid'. The best 20 minutes performance in history. Only my opinion of course. But if anyone can show me anything better, I'll be more than happy to watch it. But I honestly don't think I've seen anything even close to it.... Change my mind.
Do yourself a favor, Jay, take a while and look at queens greatest hits. You’ll be amazed at how many of the songs you already know and love go out go through a Albums like a night at the opera, a day at the races, the game news of the world queen one queen, 2 all of their albums so one thing we are not limited to any one type of music do anything better than anyone
If you like the more chilled songs, try Nevermore, lily of the Valley or Bijou by Queen... more jazz style try Meloncoly blues or dreamers ball, also by queen... White Queen and Love of my Life is also beautiful 😍
