Sylvester Stallone wanted the opening to Rocky 3 to be played with “Another One Bites The Dust”, but Queen’s licensing fee turned out to be too high for the film’s budget. The opening was already filmed, so they went out and got a little known band to write a song that had a similar tune so that it fit with the scenes.
Bro, Queen is one of the most influential iconic groups in music history. I grew up in Trinidad & Tobago (Caribbean) in the 1980s listening mostly to Hip Hop, and even as a kid I remember my dad and uncles oftentimes playing Queen at home on the stereo, in their cars, and hearing their music all over the radio in T&T. And my home country was mostly Calypso/Soca/and Reggae btw. But good music is good music. I feel so lucky being exposed to so many genres of music (pretty much all genres...even those songs and groups well before my time) while growing up back in T&T.

Just so you know, "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions" are two different songs, but they combined them for this performance. Both are great songs and if you want, you should probably listen to the full versions of both songs.
one of my favorite things about people reacting to queen's music is moments like this where they realize they recognize the song and it's like "wait, QUEEN did that???"
I love watching someone discover Queen for the first time, I always wait for the "wait they sing this?" moment when people realize that they have heard Queen before they just don't realize it.
I love it when people get that stunned look on their faces when they hear We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. It's like "This is Queen? I hear this all the time." And a bolt of lightning strikes their brains. 🤯😆
I'm loving your Queen journey. You seemed really unsure on your first reaction but you did pick up on that Queen vibe and seemed surprised that you liked it. Despite being around when all this music came out and loving it I have only recently realized Freddie was one of the best performers ever and I appreciate his vocals even more. These reactions are always fun, watching young people discover bands for the first time and going outside their comfort zone to do it. Keep building Rome and when the Coliseum is finished start having the annual rock festivals.
I was 22 yrs old when Bohemian Rhapsody was released (1975), and instantly began a huge fan. Sadly, I never saw them in concert. The 1981 Montreal concert is legendary...especially for their performance of "Somebody to Love." "Queen's Greatest Hits" is my go-to when I want to be energized...and sing along. And definitely watch the movie," Bohemian Rhapsody," released in 2018.
I love watching people realize that Queen wrote songs they know from just everywhere. One second it's "I never heard of Queen," the next it's "I can sing this song by heart, this was Queen?!?!?!?!"

Got to see Queen in the late 80s, Freddy was in his shorts and towel attire and was epic, he gave every ounce of energy he had. He looked healthy, but we knew so little about AIDS then and there were almost no treatments
Can see you love Queen, they are true artists. If you havent already, watch Bohemian Rhapsody movie then listen to Days of Our Lives and Innuendo which were recorded at the end of Freddies life. Amazing movie and songs. Live Aid 85, queen rocked the entire planet and it lifted them to stratospheric levels of fame.
We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions are back to back on album and play as one song, just like they did here live, on the album, it very rare to hear one without the other, other than sports championship celebrations. You should give a listen to their song 'Sheer Heart Attack', rarely seen reacted too and a fast, hard rocker
Freddy has a wonderful catalog!!!..if you get a chance to see queen live at live aid you will see how he controls the crowd...he has always been able to have the crown eating out of his hands ( so to speak)
Would love to subscribe but I can't hear you. Please adjust your volume or change microphones. I can't be the only one that has to jack up the volume and turn it down when the music starts. If anyone else is having this issue hit like or something to let him know.
I agree... there's probably some compensate settings that you can adjust. I feel like I'm going up on volume to hear you speak, but video over compensates once you start/unpause it.
its is not his mic, because the balance of the video and his mic is perfect, he just have the output turned down. I complain every video and am about to just say enough and stop coming here.
Was a big Queen fan in the late 70's. Saw them about 4 times as a young adult!! So happy I was a fan of this band!! You need to see the movie Bohemian Rhapsody!
Those two songs are the first and second track off their "News of the World" album. Because both songs are so short, and have similar themes, radio stations will often play both back-to-back, just as you saw in this concert.

I've sais it on one of yer previous videos, but I've gotta say it again. You must watch Queen's Live Aid performanceI. No gimmicks no pyrotechnics no nothing, and it's the best live performance I've ever seen. And I'm not even a Queen fan. They absolutely CRUSHED the whole stadium.
It truly does not get any better in the era of magical dedicated talent and showmanship than Queen. I always wait for that minute watching reactions to Queen.... " oh shit the sang that song" . Note, something to think about, when it comes to Queen one can guanteely say " I never knew they wrote this song" apposed to sang. Freddie once called himself "a musical prostitute". Queen lived for the art and fans even writing weeks befor Freddie died. Not often do "artist" today write the lyrics and music to their stuff. Live on Queen!
