FIRST TIME hearing ROLLING QUARTZ | Reacting to Rolling Quartz - 'Good Night' | Dreamcatcher Cover 

Dreamcatcher have paved the way for groups like Rolling Quartz. I love seeing the respect the showed with this homage!

Rolling Quartz is a huge fan of Dreamcatcher and they covered this song a while back. Then, they asked permission to include it in their album and do a video. DCC actively worked with them to get it done and gave permission for commercial use. The drummer of RQ is also DC Handong's drum teacher 😁 And edited to add that OF COURSE they play the instruments themselves! The clip was less simple than it seems, there are a TON of references to DC mv's worked into it and there is even some lore about senses in there. I have a video on my channel with the references, if you're curious.

They 100% play their own instruments, they even write all of their own original music by writing their own parts and blending them together into cohesive sounds. Yeongeun (purple hair) started the band Rose Quartz with Jayoung (blonde) and Hyunjung (blue hair), then their producer introduced them to Arem (dark hair) and Iree (smiley red head and my bias) to form Rolling Quartz. You should check out their debut MV Blaze, which is completely their own work and a dope song. Most of them can also play more than one instrument, even the singer Jayoung can play piano like a pro

As someone whose music roots are in punk and metal, I highly approve of everything about this. They did this not only because it's their passion, but because they were inspired by a group that was doing what no one else was and owning it. The fact that DC was so influential to them hits me right in the feelies. 😭😭😭 Thanks for the reactions, man!

This was the first time I ever heard Rolling Quartz and when I tell you I fell in love with the lead singer in five seconds flat- Her voice is amazing!!!

Dreamcatcher is my favorite girl group, I honestly didn't think this song would do the original justice. Rolling Quartz nailed it though. I LOVE this version about as much as the original

Ah, didn't expect you to check this out before checking out the original. 😅😅😅 Was waiting for you to continue you Dreamcatcher journey, The Nightmare series, which this song, Goodnight, is the 2nd song in the storyline. RQ really liked it. Just bear in mind that this is more instrumental focus as compared to Dreacmcatcher's vocal centric sound production.

I just realised, have you only reacted to the Dystopia trilogy (and some covers and such) when it comes to Dreamcatcher? They have like 9 other title tracks and some standalone singles, I really recommend checking them out. The Nightmare series is: Chase Me, Good Night, Fly High (prequel), You and I, What, Piri and Breaking Out. Deja Vu is a standalone that was done for a game; and BEcause is their latest comeback; and then there are more singles (Full Moon, Over the Sky, Endless Night, R.o.S.E. BLUE, No More, Eclipse) and a bunch of special clips for b-sides, but BEcause, Deja Vu or Chase Me is probably a good place to start ^_^ (well since they're my ult group, any Dreamcatcher content is always great imo)

You might have to listen the original?!? 😱 Who are you kidding, and I hope your joking, its Dreamcatcher you have to listen to the original. 😝 I actually watched Rolling Quartz's cover the other day and it is a great cover and homage to Dreamcatcher. I love that they are a band and play their own instruments the guitar is awesome - if you check out their channel description it tells you their names and who plays what. But the original song by Dreamcatcher is excellent! 👌😝 and the MV is really cool. The choreography for the song is amazing. I would definetly recommend you watch the dance practice for it as well as the MV so you can see it properly. For some reason I can't find it on their official channel but there are fan uploads. Also there is a brilliant video of them performing Good Night with the choreo in the street while wearing Halloween costumes. 🎃 towards the end the music stops due to technical difficulties, but the girls keep performing and the crowd sings the song, it's really cool. 😁 I understand there are meant to be connections between the storyline in Good Night and other earlier MV's which are part of the Nightmare Series. I am not very well versed on it myself but have read bits online. From what I have found though there are fan theories about the storyline and order to watch the MV's (which are not necessarily the order of release), but there is no official timeline of the MV's from Dreamcatcher or their company in relation to the story. Regardless I think you can watch any MV on their own and still enjoy it or maybe just watch the early ones in the order of release. Order of release for the main singles starts with Chase Me, Good Night, Fly High and You and I. I think some people say you can watch Fly High first even though it was released 3rd as it is believed its meant to be a prequel to the story as it was the title single on their mini album called Prequel.

Dreamcatcher is my ult group and I actually prefer this version. Check out RQ’s debut, Blaze! Funny you mention Paramore, they actually did a Misery Business cover!

Thanks for reacting to this cover. They released their first album last week and this cover is part of it. The one singing is Jayoung, there's two guitarists Iree (red hair) and Hyunjung (blue hair), then there's the bassist Arem (black hair) and Yeongeun at the drums, who was also the drum teacher for Handong. DCC helped them a lot in the remaking of this cover. Great reaction and great video.

You need to start reacting to the Nightmare Series of Dreamcatcher. Also to the Japanese realeses. Looking forward to watch it so you can comprehend the kind of homage they are doing. The RQ have little crumbles of DC videos hidden in plain sight. You will have fun.
