Yes, the message of the song is about hard work! Gento is a slang for the Filipino word “Ganito” or “Gan’to” which means “like this”. Pablo, the leader, explained that SB19 is “gento” or “like this”. “We’re like this.” He said this song summarizes SB19’s journey to success. Much like ginto (tagalog for gold), you need to persevere, push boundaries before you can achieve what you want in life. And on their IG live he said the MV itself contains a lot of satire and Filipino references. The first line "I want some, I get some, no later" - is addressing the habit of procrastination, then you have Darna, Moniko, etc which you have to be Filipino to get them. By the way, burned eyebrows is like burning the midnight oil. Thanks for the Christian take on the song. 💙

Stell who came out in just his robe is saying to those who raised quizzical brows at him before for his looks should look at him now in all his visual delight. “Magsunog ng kilay” is a Filipino idiom which means to burn the lights low studying or learning a lesson (to the point that one gets too close to the flame it burns his eyebrows) and Stell is addressing his naysayers in that part of the song to go burn their brows so that they may learn a lesson (the lesson in this sense being that they should not put down someone based on their looks because they’ll never know how this someone will turn up to be later). He may also be referring to all the skeptics who were quick in saying SB19 would never make it.

There are still some people who think SB19 is shallow, hence the constant criticism /judgment. But these boys take all with eyes wide open, folding their sleeves and start working so hard than ever. Here's some few notes here since the song have a lot of Filipino references: 1. Pablo cooking scene - The ingredients in the pot he's cooking are for the Filipino dish called "nilaga", this is reference to PH proverb, "Pag may tiyaga, may nilaga" which means "hard work has its rewards" 2. Stell shower scene - In PH since the weather is very hot here our body produces this "sour" smell in the armpit (that's why we always use deo) so people who don't take care of their hygiene here are called "maasim" literally "sour" so then he said in the lyrics that no matter how sweaty and sour he smell after all the hardwork he did all day the haters are more "sour" than him/them. 3. Josh rap part - He said that he will not swallow a stone because he's not Darna, Darna is a PH Icon Comics hero, she swallows a "stone" before she transform on her Darna form, so what he's saying is he's no superhero - He said that he's his own mechanic and don't need "Moniko", this is reference to a PH tongue twister: "Minikaniko ni Moniko, ang makina ni Monika" which translate to "Moniko fixed Monika's engine" so he's saying that he doesn't need anyone's help to build himself 4. Justin switch with the dog - This is reference to Filipino term "dogshow" used when you are clowning/making fun of something/someone. It can either be you're making fun of another person or you're making fun of yourself. It's "dogshow" because on literal dog shows, the dogs are being displayed to the public to make "tricks" who else does "tricks"?---- Clowns. 5. SB19 no eyebrows scene - If you raised your eyebrows on someone, you're judging them, right? Or being mean to them. On the MV the lyrics says to burn their brows. In PH there is this saying when you are studying hard, "nagsusunog ng kilay" which means burning their brows because their faces are buried on the book. So they're probably saying that instead of raising your eye brows on someone (judge them) why don't u just burn your brows (study) because the haters are basically dumb. EXTRA: Not a Filipino reference but at the end, the alien scene, they're actually mocking their Alab MV. (watch alab mv again and focus on the last part) This is because during that time they are fully managed by their Korean management SBT which made them do things they don't want to do as the group. In Alab MV, for example, they are promoted as "PPOP" but the MV literally starts and ended with someone speaking in Korean so PH netizens bashed SB19 about being a KPOP wanna be, no originality, and having no Filipino roots in their music. GENTO = Ganto (like this), "gento" is usually they of how Caviteno says it. Pablo is Caviteno. GENTO = Ginto (Gold)

PPop is generally wholesome because of the culture.

their songs always have deeper meaning to them. most of it is about hardwork, encouragement, respect and love. hardwork and encouragement lyrics are always in their heavy songs while respect and love is conveyed in their ballad songs. they even have an inspirational one composed for a computer brand commercial/ad song.

Stell in part with boys have no eyebrows means that burning the eyebrows in filipino saying is to work hard to get something. This song about gold is about doing your best to get “gold”. You can get dirty in the process but in the end you will be able to succeed and get that clean.

Hi, Pablo (Paulo) the leader and Ken (Felip) with deep voice was was raised in a Christian Family. Also, Pablo wrote most of the songs, that's why it's meaningful and deep. He makes sure that the talents of every member is showcased. He's a good leader and all of them are all God fearing and loves their family.

2 of their members are Full Gospel Christians btw. Ken is a Pastor's Kid and Pablo who has hints of Christianity in the songs that he writes. They are also great friends with a band whose members are all strong Christians "The Juans".

The boys said that the song is about their journey as an artist and the song have a satirical message. In my opinion, the satirical message of the song is about how the music companies or music managements dig for gold (look for talents). There is a line there in Tagalog, "Pilit na hinukay ang bunbunan." Which means they dig deep inside their brains just to look for gold (The gold here now means money). Somehow it sounded like the companies/managements are digging (milking) for gold (money/talent/SB19). That is just my own interpretation though. Especially the ending scene where the aliens are watching over the ants (workers / SB19). And talking about "What color is your love?" and the other alien replied. "Like this, Gold." (SB19 and their talent is the gold or the money). Pablo is well-known for using 1 word like "GOLD" into many different meanings. Like for one line, the gold means their talent.. and on the other line it means money. And in the entire song there is an omnipresent entity who is/are the one doing all the digging(milking/exploiting). Especially now that they release this EP with their own established company. Also their EP is titled "Pagtatag" which means " to establish."

I was gonna say the message is they work hard because during the start of their career a lot of the local media here were making fun of them and putting them down for being korean copycats. Now the media is sucking up to them because they are making it big internationally and they are saying in this video it didn't happen instantly. It is motivational as well to fans of their songs to work hard and give 100% to get to your goals.

I rewatched ur RV couple of times because it’s great so I’m late replying. They image without eyebrow is from Filipino saying, “To burn your eyebrow” meaning to study hard. In places with no electricity yet (far from city) decades ago, students used candles or lamp to study at night. Sometimes they accidentally burn their eyebrows. In the song it has double meaning, they are asking the basher to learn first (study) who they are or it can also be like lesson learn that what they were saying about them are wrong… it’s a total methapor so it an be approach is different way… all in all it’s fun to see all their eyebrows are gone, meaning they are willing to learn as much ,as they can just to achieve their dream(represented by them looking for gold) “Gento” is word play from “ganito” which means “like this” and “Ginto” means “gold” so they are mining their talent, because they are “Gold, like this” = GENTO
