This is my interpretation. Manananggal is a Filipino mythical creature. At full moon when 12 midnight strikes, he/she cuts his/her body into half (at the waist) and flies away to look for prey, leaving half of the body on land. Before dawn, it returns back to the other half. Metaphor: no matter how high we fly or how far we go for our dreams, always remember to look back to where we came from
"Mana"? It means inheritance. But "Manananggal"? Well, according to Philippine folklore, is a very flesh hungry mythical half bodied winged (like of a devil's wings) monstrous creature which flies at moonlit nights to snatch humans for dinner. This monster very loves devouring human fleshy innards, the human heart especially. The SB19 bashers and haters were compared to the manananggal.😁 Thank you for the great review of our MAHALIMA's songs !!!❤❤❤
“The song "Mana" by SB19 explores the idea of self-worth and the value of one's blessings or "biyaya." It talks about how people tend to disregard or forget the importance of someone or something when they are no longer physically present or visible. “ “The chorus uses the image of "manananggal," another mythical creature, to symbolize the idea that despite not being physically present, the singer's worth and blessings cannot be denied. The post-chorus emphasizes this idea by repeating the word "mana," which means inheritance or blessings.”

1:45 MANANANGGAL is a person who can separate their upper body from their legs. I think this refers to those who used to despise them and tramp upon them but now that they are well known, they try to be on their level up in the sky 😂. The legs of the manananggal remains on the ground while their torsos are able to fly. The laugh is how supposedly the manananggal sounds. The first verses talk about how nobody recognized them when they were starting. But now that they are popular and they are higher up there they act as tho they know the band. I think MANANANGGAL refers to their bashers because of how they treated the band.
SB19 performance live is on another level just listening to them makes you want to sing and participate with them while they sing lol this was a banger 💣📺
Mana has two meanings :Mana which means inheritance and Manananggal - vampire - like mythical creature, usually a malevolent, man-eating and blood-sucking monster or witch capable of separating themselves from the lower part of their body.
"No matter how high they go, they will remain grounded" just as the song title MANA which extracted from the root word MANAnanggal (a Filipino mythical creature who has an ability to separate it's human upper & lower body during full moon, where the upper body will fly to find a victim while the lower will remain to it's spot until the upper body comeback before sunrise & connect again as a whole body). This song has no MV nor an official lyric video too even their live has no English subtitles but there's a lot of fan made lyric videos with English subtitles, so i suggested to check it out to know the deeper meaning & messages of this song. Much appreciated your RV & continued support for SB19 Sir. Bless you.
