Shania is Amazing!! She was abused in all aspects as a child, betrayed by a husband and best friend as an adult, and had to put her budding career on hold to raise her 4 siblings after her parents were killed. Not to mention the loss of her voice for awhile. She has truly beaten all the odds stacked against her and became a Huge star. She was one of the first to crossover from country to pop. Love her and her music!!!
@@stupidsminkle She is also battling Lyme's disease, which has affected her vocal cords. It is sad, because she is such a great performer. I have seen her live twice.

Shania was so popular, that she recorded her album "Up!" in 3 different styles: country, pop, and Bollywood (style of Indian movie music), which I didn't even know about that last one! In the US and Canada, the pop and country versions were sold as a double album. And apparently overseas got pop and Bollywood. She performed "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" and "Up!" at the SuperBowl XXXVII Half-time show.

I grew up in a rural town after moving from a large city near Toronto, and as a kid, I hated that all they played on the radio was country music. BUT! The exception to the rule was Shania. She was the only singer who I would tolerate, and thanks to my best friend insisting that we listen to it during every sleep over, I came to know every word to the Come On Over album. She's now achieved iconic status in Canadian music. You should check out her halftime performance she did at the CFL Grey Cup - the most obnoxiously Canadian stereotypes all in one place, and the entire stadium was singing along to every word. She's a treasure.

She's a phenomenal singer and songwriter and entertainer. She's involved in every aspect of her songs and performances, she writes her songs, she's very hands on with all the technical stuff in her performances, and with editing her music videos (which are all very different from each other she's incredibly versatile and changing it up) she's the best selling female artist in any genre she's had double diamond status albums. Would love to see you guys do so many more reactions from her stuff to see how varied she is and talented such a wonderful lady. You'd learn alot about her to by watching a series she did for the oprah winfrey show about her journey to getting her voice back it's phenomenal. I believe that is called Today is your day. This was my first song that made me fall in love with Shania Twain ((I had heard “whose bed have your boots been under” but it didn’t make me really notice her...). This still is my favorite Shania song and 1 of my top all time favs.
I got to see her in concert at an outdoor theater. She puts on a concert like no other. Had the local school percussion group on stage for one of her songs, she involves the community she has her concert in. Had great seats close to stage…One awesome night!

Emotional pain can cause physical pain, and just like regular muscles, your vocal chords and muscles need to be worked regularly to stay in top shape. So she did "loose" her voice for a while. But regular therapy and vocal therapy and such helped and she is singing again. I think she's released an album since?

She has a fantastic voice and a whole lot of great song choices, from mellow (&/or romantic (Valentine) to upbeat/fun to near tear-jerking &/or emotional charged songs, some revealing painful stories which are inspirational &/or supportive.

I was in supreme awe when she rode a beautiful black horse in Las Vegas. It had black and silver accessories on it. It's mane tail silky and shania a country angelic beautiful lady dressed in black. She was gorgeous.
