GREAT reaction to the PHENOMENAL So Hyang. You have witnessed only a small sample of the flexibility in her voice. So Hyang's vocal range is RIDICULOUS, and her breath control is INSANE. This event was in 2015 when she was 37 years old. So Hyang is now 45 years old. She looks like she is aging backward, and she sounds better than ever before. So Hyang, her husband, and some assistants arrange every aspect of her live performances; the music, backing vocals, staging, lighting, etc. So Hyang can sing any genre of music, from Rock to Rap.

Welcome to Sohyang's world. Pronounced "So - Hyang" No soy. Sohyang is one of the worlds best female vocalists. Cancer survivor, author, all around a very inspirational lady. You haven't heard of her because she remains at independent artist, so no large label backing. She is well loved in Korea as well as her multitude of fans overseas. Often called the Queen to Dimash being King. Sohyang is not Kpop but gospel, but she can sing any genre that she puts her mind to.
She recently did an interview show (something like "Lee Mujin Service") which also had her singing several songs. One of them was a cover of a recent song by a kpop girl group, and she did great with it.

We all wonder if Sohyang is human or from another planet. Current odds are that she’s from another planet, with an outside chance she’s actually an angel come down from Heaven. 😇 We have never heard anyone sing like her, or be able to hold an audience in the palm of her hand until she lets them go. Her voice is, as one person described it, like liquid gold. Perfection in clarity and pitch, and she doesn’t fade in the upper octaves, which is startling when you hear her hit those 5th and 6th octave notes with such _POWER_ it actually gives everyone goose bumps-and makes us bald guys’ hair stand on end! As she says, her voice “is from God.” She does all the musical arrangements herself, with the input of her in-law family and musical assistants, teaches vocal technique at a South Korean university and speaks five languages: Korean, English, French, Vietnamese and Chinese, as well as reading Greek! She is a cancer survivor from uterine cancer at the age of 20, just after getting married, and states very plainly that God saved her life due to the prayers of her church. But this left her without the ability to have children so she decided to dedicate her life to being a Contemporary Christian Gospel singer and has refused recording contracts from the biggest corporations in the world. She only wants to sing for charities, churches and while doing missionary work, to strengthen those suffering through difficult times. David Foster, Josh Groban, Michael Bolton and others have all eagerly worked with her when they were in Asia. She contracted hepatitis B from a blood transfusion during her cancer surgery and it clings to her to this day. She is a phenomenon. Listen to her 'I Have Nothing' from the DMC Festival. It is the best live performance of that song of all time, including Whitney's. Most often, her voice is flawless, even with battling pneumonia off and on through her illustrious career.

Hi! I’d like to recommend you to check a crossover group from South Korea I discovered recently. Its name is “Forténa” that has four tenors combination.(the first crossover group with four tenors). One of the members is a very famous count tenor(His name is DQ Lee and played in lots of operas all over the world). When I heard their very much first cover song “Neapolis” in a competition program, I had a goosebumps everywhere. I’m sure you would like it and I’d love to hear your opinion about their singing. Who is this girl ??? she is just one of the many amazing singing talents in Asia that are not known in the western world. Can I suggest another ---4th Impact. they are 4 sisters from The Philippin with amazing harmonies. In 2015 they auditioned for X Factor UK and the video of that audition has more than 190 million views on you tube. In feb 2023 they performed before 55, 000 people in Manila ....and just 2 weeks ago they released a new original song that has over 250,000 views in just 2 weeks. 4th Impact will leave you speechless with thei harmonies.
You realize she probably doesn’t even speak English. I asked someone from another country ha how a singer sings English songs so well. They told me that they sing it phonetically.
Sohyang not only speaks English very well with a beautiful North American accent, she also speaks French, Chinese, Vietnamese and her native Korean, as well as reading Greek! She has a very high intellect.

I have been following So Hyang for a while now and I truly believe there is nothing she can't do. She has also written children's novels and she is in charge of her own musical arrangements with her team. She practices her performance a hundred times before going on stage.
