The Cure have been my favorite band for 36 year's, I have seen them live 18 times 😍 Robert Smith(the singer) wrote this for his wife. It's hard to pick 3 song's...lol, but I would say Just Like Heaven, Disintegration and Pictures of You.

You didnt know about The Cure?! Their music is so good! Lots of atmosphere on their music. "A Forest" is one of their early hits. "Just like heaven". "Friday I'm in Love" is a fun one they made to show they could do "happy pop" songs too. I love the way Robert Smith sings his song much more than Adele's cover version.

There is so much to discover with The Cure, i'm so happy for you that you have all of that ahead of you. You won't run out of amazing songs with this band, and there is so much different kind of vibes, styles and moods within their music, from the most beautiful and heart breaking melodies that springs from the deepest depths of depression and pain to perfectly produced uplifting pop(ish) bangers and everything in between.. but you will always hear the totally unique and inimitable sound and vibe of The Cure. I think Lullaby would be a good place to next, but the whole Disintegration album is an absolute masterpiece in it's totality so you cant go wrong whatever song you choose from it. And the best thing is, that once you are hooked with this album, there is SO MUCH more amazing songs and albums to explore. Thanks for the amazing content, much love brother

I Saw them in concert "recently" here in Portugal , cause i always heard them and got a lot of their work and they are really amazing in stage... His Voice aged perfectly , it seems that the years didn't pass trough him... 👍

The Cure is uh-mazing. For the peeps in the comments section, there is also a 1995 movie called The Cure which is a really fantastic coming of age story. Starring Brad Renfro and Joseph Mazzello (little boy from Jurassic Park). Not related at all besides the name but always like promoting personal favorites.

Whover this guy is that you said Robert Smith looks like, it's the other way around. The Cure has been around since 1978 (officially; roots can be traced back to about 1973, I believe) and their biggest heyday was 1980s to early 1990s.

I always assumed that this song was typical of The Cure, and I don't care for this song, so.....no Cure for me. Friday I'm in Love surprised me, pleasantly, Fascination Street fascinated me, but all this was not enough for me to say that I liked them. On a whim, I checked out their fortieth anniversary show, and it blew my fucking mind. This band is seriously talented, I have heard some really deep and profound music coming from them. They're the REAL thing.

Once you go down the The Cure rabbithole you will never get out. They are the greatest band still performing and have made music in so many genres. From punk to post punk to goth to jazz to psychedelic folk to electro pop, alt rock etc etc. I think Per and Marie were fans too as you can hear them playing their songs in the background while on tour in some video’s. I’d highly recommend you listening to The Drowning Man, A Strange Day, A Forest and Lullaby to begin with.

I am not sure why you do not do a quick wiki read about the artists before you react . I feel you are doing yourself a disservice . This band is beyond important and influential . They were inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame several years ago . You can watch the induction speech and see their performance on you tube . Totally worth a watch . I am very pleased you like this . The cure have an extended mix of this song which is amazing .

Edward Scissor hands was actually based upon Robert Smith's look. Tim Burton is a huge Cure fan and has stated that Robert Smith was inspirational for that character's look.

Fav the Cure songs, "Heaven" "Friday I'm in Love", "Photograph". I think Robert Smith of the Cure also looks like Edward Scissor head in this video! I love Robert's songs. He is one of the most romantic song writers and singers of the 80's. The best thing for Robert (he said) is that because he always wore some make up and his hair all messed up in video's and concerts, is that he is rarely recognized in public with no make up, etc., so he has more freedom in the world.
