The Darkness are still going strong just been on tour in Australia they have a different drummer now it is Rufus Taylor son of Roger Taylor the drummer from Queen they’re a great band love them ❤

I saw these guys live last Friday over here in New Zealand. They were phenomenal and this song was the first encore. It brought the house down. They sound as good as this live and Justin Hawkins vocals were absolutely on point!

The Darkness are awesome - from their debut album - Love is only a feeling is probably my fave. They did a awesome Christmas song - Christmas time dont let the bells end. - you should have a look at their other stuff. They did some funny songs/vids (with a woman)

This is an all-timer now. I was like 12 when this hit but total throwback. The big drums and bass with the guitar and of course, those vocals. We were in to skating and listening to as much rock as possible but this totally threw us off.

I discovered the Darkness quite by accident and years after they hit it big in England in 2003 and reformed again in 2011 after a break up. Actually it was when I saw Justin Hawkins at both tributes for Taylor Hawkins. I didn't know who he was, but I decided to do a search on the internet and then I found that he was in a terrific band called the Darkness. I have watched a number of videos of their live gigs from not only the past but some recent live shows in the UK. And what struck me was not only are these guys really excellent musicians, but Justin Hawkins is just hilarious with the audience and an amazing front man for the band. Plus Dan Hawkins the other guitarist is Justin's brother and quite good in his own right. And then there is Frankie Poullain who is an excellent bassist and Rufus Taylor on the drums. You can tell that everyone in the band has a great chemistry with each other and are more like a family together than a most rock bands. I have become a fan primarily because of their talents and their great wit and humor. You should explore a few of the live videos from 2023 and you will become a sure fan.

I believe they got to number 2 when it meant something in the Uk charts. With a tune that mentioned bells end - we all know what a bellend is don't we. if you don't ask a doctor (A proper one) Hilarious. A close second to Ebeneezer Goode by the Shamen. How that slipped under the radar?
