You got THAT right Mr. JJ....... you indeed cannot always get what you want! So ridiculously simple but an important life lesson for a small child or full grown adult. I love this particular period of Rolling Stones music for it's raw simplicity, acoustic guitar and piano, simple changes and the impact grows as the song goes along. Nice reaction as usual : )

Bit of trivia for you: the cake on the cover of Let It Bleed was baked by a young Delia Smith, who went on to become a household name in the UK as one of the most ubiquitous TV chefs and authors from the 80s onwards.

Jimmy Miller was the Stones producer during their golden period from 1968 to 1973. He actually plays drums on this track (hence Jagger giving “Mr. Jimmy” a shoutout in the lyrics). One aspect he always had a knack for was using percussion and taking simple compositions and building them up. Also, that’s no average choir; it’s the internationally renowned London Bach Choir, which was quite a big deal at the time. Jagger said he heard a choir when composing the song, and another recording buddy Jack Nitzsche was able to get it done.

This song is a classic from the last breaths of the hippie era. As the Beatles recorded "Let It Be", the Stones responded with "Let It Bleed"! I love your reactions, keep it up! I really wanted to be able to contribute and suggest some Brazilian classics, you would love it!
