This is a classic album. Biggie was going to join Thug Life before Bad Boy took off. This album didn’t get a lot of mainstream attention but true hip hop fans know that Pac really delivered 4 straight classic albums; Thug Life, Me Against the World, All Eyez on Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.

Thug Life is criminally underrated. I’m not sure I’d call it a full blown classic but it’s at least borderline for sure. Solid 4.5/5 The 3 albums that followed are all arguably greatest rap album ever.

@Soldier4Life I’ve been listening to this album a lot lately, the OG versions though. Revisiting it you can tell the Outlawz riding was stronger on these tracks than some of the songs they were featured on. Pac’s verse on the self titled track is one of his greatest ever.

This album came out right around the time I experienced losing a homie to homicide for the first time. The songs on this album, “Bury Me a G” “Pour Out a Little Liquor” even “Cradle To The Grave” just hit different back then. And now, when I listen to this album, I’m automatically taken back to that time in my life. The replay value of this album is sentimental for me.

you know, you talked about tupac's voice and how it captures you. Its amazing to here the current generation talk about that 30 years later. because when I first heard Pac back in '92, it was his voice that just captured and grabbed me by the neck and said come on, you will feel me. so the fact that he is having that effect 30 plus years later is incredible and truly remarkable.

This is a remake! Back then sometimes they would go back on the studio and re record songs without curses for radio and videos. Before the internet we only saw videos on mtv and bet! Later we had the box where you paid to see videos and they charged your phone bill for it!

Perhaps not a full album review but 2Pacalypse Now and Strictly 4 My are solid albums by Pac and had some relatively provocative/deeper lyrics. Worth a listen on your own time, but suggestions are Violent, Rebel of the Underground, Souljaz Revenge, Streetz R Deathrow, Something 2 Die 4 (interlude)
