Tool's a really deep band - typically always have multiple layers of meaning to the lyrics. 'The Pot' tends to be the place where a lot of people start and then 46 & 2, Schism, The Grudge, etc.

Nice interpretation! Lyrically Tool pulls deeper than most bands, and sometimes speaks to difficult subject matter. Gets to those feelings you might have but rarely say aloud. "Eulogy" is a good one too!

I believe the song refers to a friend of the band who could only seem to function while drunk and Maynard wished he was sober. The tool army will be here soon. One of my favorites is the song Jambi.

This song is so powerful in lyrics and his performance tells all. Nope he is not high or drunk. Just performing perfectly. The guitars sound so dissonant to make you feel uncomfortable. The song is about a friend who needed to be under the influence to be creative
