Lol this isn't true at all. He was a model n got cast in a Coke commercial. He sang in that and that's how his musical talent was discovered. This video is a tribute to the commercial where he sang on the bus. It was his big break. Where do yall get this stuff from???

This was noteworthy because Theo had hidden and appropriated black culture but it had recently been discovered he was an Asian man. When he then went on to DISRESPECT Tyreese who appeared in his studio and sang and told HIS story about singing on the city bus systems The DJ was soon shunned by the public for his arrogance and disrespect to Tyreese. In the commercial he is singing on a bus. That's why in his first single, in the video he us on a bus. Kind of a nod to the commercial. You should try to find that commercial. Singing on the bus with my headphones is something I did a lot - too bad I sounded no where NEAR as great as Tyrese did... or even good, but that didn't stop me. Oh, and the singing led to the acting, as it so often does. Also check out "Lately" off the same 1998 debut album.
