Yes! We need more Unlucky Morpheus! They're not that famous world wide, because they selfrelease everything. No company behind them to help spread their music. So lets help them spread their music on youtube, because they really deserve more attention. I see Cadaver/Revadac, Angreifer live is mentioned. Fun fact: screams are done by Shiren, the red-hair guitarist and he has some kind of a disease that makes his hands muscles weaker so he can't play guitar for long non-stop so on concerts tracks like this one where he has screams are put to the middle so his hands can rest and Jill, the violinist takes his guitar sections INCLUDING SOLOS to her violin. If you wanna see how it looks try song Angreifer live performance. They also made a nice composition experiment CADAVER | REVADAC, one song that sounds awesome played both forwards and backwards, but you should check out Angreifer live first, it's too good to not see it.

Fun fact about this band: They are completely independent. They are not signed to a label & they have complete freedom to do what they want. They produce their videos & book their concerts on their own, but that means little to no publicity outside of RU-vid. Their most recent single, Unending Sorceress (released about 2 days ago), is basically a giant Final Fantasy 8 reference. It's worth a reaction.

Glad you guys got to this! I love these guys!!! Earlier I recommend an all female Japanese rock band DOLL$BOXX their song Take my Chance. This song also has clean vocals and screams. Oh and it has the same lead singer as Unlucky Morpheus! Her name is Fuki and she fronts 4 different bands 😁🤘

Told ya! haha "Knight of Sword" is the one I have been telling you to listen to. Now I think you'll get there pretty soon. =P Anyway, they just released a new song few hours ago. It's called "Unending Sorceress". Fuki is the goddess of metal in Japan and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Shiren, the composer/guitarist/screamer is really amazing but because of a injury, he can't play much anymore. There is a live version of this song where Jill plays his parts on the violin and it's amazing. Also, Shiren was a member of Yousei Teikoku, a band I have mentioned before.

the guitarist and drummer were also in another band called Undead Corporation. You should react to one of there songs too!

FUKI - the legend!

Their lead singer is in another (all female) band called DOLL$BOX where the bass player and guitarist are f*ing shredders, and the drummer/co-vocalist is dynamite. Not as heavy but just as entertaining.

So fun tidbit about the singer, Fuki: she is one of the most prolific vocalists of all time. In any genre. In 12 years of being active she has been featured on over 90 full length albums. I don't mean just contributing a track here or there, I mean entire albums featuring her singing. At one point she was part of 5 bands at once (including Unlucky Morpheus) so she toured with all 5 bands at once and called it the "Fuki Commune"

Holy Japan, Unlucky Morpheus are outstanding, hope you do cadaver/revadac too, the live performance is out of this world

Unlucky Morpheus started out as a side project, as all the members were/are in other bands, put together by Shiren. They are all video game fans at were in to one game, called Touhou Project, they became friends though the game, and they did music based on the game called Touhou arrangement. The growls are done by Shiren (guitar), who is suffering from tenosynovitis of the arm, which is why he stopped doing the other bands he was in. That's why if you watch most of the latest videos his guitar is on a stand. Also, live he takes a rest in some of the songs like this one and Jill (violin) takes over his part. As some people may have already mentioned, here are some band suggestions: Dir en grey - They have songs is pretty much any style, their vocalist is probably the best on the planet Lovebites - think of Band Maid but in power metal Galneryus - all members are insanely talented, one of the more well known power metal bands in japan

You should try lovebites - when destinies align (all female band), nemophila - oiran, HAGANE - WintrySky and from unlucky morpheus check CADAVER / REVEDAC , angreifer, ,dignity of spirit

This is why I love these kind of reaction channels. Not only is it fun to see others enjoy bands you've been gushing over for years, you also get introduced to new bands yourself. After this video I checked out some other songs by Unlucky Morpheus and all I can see is: Yes! Do more!!! I've seen other commenters recommend Angreifer live and from what I've seen sofar, I agree. Very good first reaction, without a doubt a great band with a great singer, I recommend Angreifer Live or Cadaver / Revadac, who at the end of the song will play it backwards, a madness that they will surely love.

Now you've opened a whole box of stuff---I'll throw my vote for "Cadaver/Revadac" next. You won't be disappointed. UM are basically a supergroup; Fuki is the best female vocalist on the planet she's been in a half dozen other bands/solo projects and sings pretty much any style. Fumiya (drummer) is also the drummer for Galneryus. Check out "Angel of Salvation" by them for a power-metal masterpiece and one of the best guitarists on earth. Shiren (lead guitar) has also been in Yousei Teikoku, a Gothic Fairy-metal band that more people need to hear. Check out "Kyusei Αργυροσ"

I know I'm late to the party but if you like Black Pentagram, you HAVE to check out Dignity of Spirit, it's just more than nine minutes of absolute fantastic metal.

You guys should check out dir en grey all of their albums sound a bit different while still being the same band I recommend the song different sense if you want death core/ death metal ish sound (the music video for this song is pretty odd so you’ve been warned 😂) I recommend the song embryo if you want to get to know their softer side (this songs lyrics are a bit of a shock) I also recommend the song reiketsu nariseba if you want to hear some really extensive vocal techniques I whole heartedly believe the vocalist of this band Kyo is one of the best singers to walk the planet he can use any technique from the book and he has insane range but this also doesn’t take away the fact that each member of the band Shinya on drums Toshiya on bass Kaoru on guitar and also Die on guitar are all immensely talented cant recommend this band enough

I think that the "clean guitar" you were referring to is actually a harpsichord, you know, quite typical from baroque music and suited for neoclassical riffs. Btw, so nice the reaction vid, I really enjoy seeing other people appreciating that great band.

You guys really need to check out Angriefer live, Satsuriku No Miseria live and Black Pentagram live by Unlucky Morpheus. These guys are so talented, but the again so many Japanese metal bands are incredibly talented.

The singer, Fuki is in 12,3+πi bands and they're all awesome.

Oh dang, no cap I was going to recommend unlucky morpheus after watching a couple of MTH reactions yall did lol. Edit: now that ive watched the video, I also think you guys are thinking of a harpsichord thats playing with the solos. Super nice classical instrument thats used alot in the symphonic metal that I Listen to (I mainly versailles philharmonic quintet in terms of symphonic metal). Also its very common to se japanese musicians wield esp axe's. At least from what I can tell.
