This band is incredible, they're amazing live, their recent stuff have way more screams in it like ''Unending Sorceress'' due to guitarist having a problem in his hand and not playing that much, and he rearranged some of their old songs so his parts could be played by the violinist live like ''angriefer'' and ''Get Revenge on The Tyrant'', basically you can choose anything from them live to begin with and i'm sure you'll like it, btw the drummer is a guy and used to play in 'Galneryus', pretty famous power metal band

Unlucky Morpheus were a side project to start with. Shiren and Fuki, were in a band that did covers of video game songs, which split up after a few years. Fuki enjoyed working with Shiren so much, she said she wanted to do something else with him, so they started Unlucky Morpheus in 2008. To start with it was just the 2 of them, and they got in guests if they played live. They started off doing arrangement music of a video game series called Touhou. They slowly added members to the band and the last was Jill in 2016, in total there are 7 members, but 1 only sings with them now and again at the Touhou arrangement concerts they do. In 2015, they started to do their own music, and as most of the members are from metal bands, that the way they went, the bassists only other bands are jazz bands. Apart from 2 now they don't really have any other bands. I saw them in London last October, their 1st time outside Japan, along with 9 other Japanese metal bands, and they were the stand out group by a long shot, it's not that the others were not any good, in fact most were great, it's just UM are so dam good. And if you ever get the chance to see them live, just go. They used to have the habit of keeping the violin low in the mix, the later stuff they have moved it up more. Shiren (growles) is normal the lead guitarist, but due to tenosynovitis of the arm he has had to take it easy. The parts he plays in this live are taken over by Jill on the violin, this also happens in another song of theirs "Angreifer" By the way the drummer is male. He left his other band, Galneryus, about a month ago, he was with them for about 3 years, and has done work with a lot of other bands. Here are some other songs for you by them. Unending Sorceress - the latest MV Angreifer Dignity of Spirit - just an epic song. Mouryou no Misshitsu - to see how well the violin fit's in. Fuki (singer) is untrained and it is all natural talent, she also never stops working. In 15 years she has had over 90 releases, mostly full abums, which she writes the lryics for. There is also a Babymetal conection, Shiren was a Kami band member at Legend I.

People have already mentioned but the drummer is a guy haha. His name is Fumiya and he's really amazing. Unlucky Morpheus has posted a few drum playthroughs of their songs that show just Fumiya doing his thing and his energy is amazing.

This band is incredible. They have a massive discography having been around since 2008. They just released a new album on July 29th called Unfinished. The single from that album was released during the beginning of July and it's a song called "Unending Sorceress". Highly recommend it. It's got a lot of prominent violin and screams in it, hehe. Also, everyone in the band is male, except Fuki, the singer, and Jill, the violinist. Fumiya is the drummer, Shiren is the harsh vocalist and guitarist (the one with red hair), Jinya is the other guitarist, and Ogawa is the bassist.

This is really freaking good!!! The Japanese always find some new way to impress. I have to check out more of them sometime.

The female members are Fuki (vocal) and Jill (violin), and the rest are guys 😂😂😂 If you want hear more Jill's violin play, maybe you should try "Dignity of Spirit" or "Angreifer", she did dual solo with the Jinya (guitar) on both song, or maybe solo play in "Unending Sorceress" and "Cadaver/Revadac"...

If you want to listen more violin and screaming parts, you definitely should check their "Angreifer" live performance, the lead guitarist have some hand issues who prevents him from playing for too long, so in this song a few guitar solo parts were done by the violinist and the lead guitar player went more to the singing part with the screams
