Just to clarify a couple of Ren's bars....the board game Clue (US) is actually called Cluedo in the UK. Also, 'speak frank like Bruno' is probably a reference to Frank Bruno the boxer....a British heavyweight champion back in the eighties and much loved!! Great reaction as always xx
@@KevinRichardson444 It's actually a British board game and is a mash up of two words Clue and Ludo (another board game) As Americans had no concept of the Ludo game at the time....they renamed it Clue. Just like you, I had no idea why our countries branded it differently....so I googled it lol
I love your reactions... I don't understand why anyone would complain about any reactor stopping the videos to comment on the parts they enjoyed or give their interpretation, that's the whole point of watching reactions, to see people react! Keep doing what you're doing, you're fab 🤗
@@snakevenomv 100% agree. There's so much in Ren songs and videos to be discussed and thought about and dissected. And it's nice to see some of my own "first listen" thoughts and questions echoed, or completely different valid takes on a part that I never would have come up with. The reactors I've seen who 'allow the whole thing to play uninterrupted every time' seem to miss about 90% of the thoughts, feelings and observations. Only seen a couple of people pull it off well and thoroughly discuss the song. But it still felt frustrating as seemed they would be better just to post a video of their thoughts on the music, rather than make us sit through a whole video we've already watched to get their final input. Sometimes it's necessary to pause, without even commenting, purely to let something sink in or sit with an emotional overwhelm. That's valid, and that's just as okay with me.
From Wikipedia: Yan Ying (c. 578-500 BC), better known as Yanzi, was a Chinese philosopher and minister of the state of Qi during China's Spring and Autumn Period. An elder contemporary of Confucius, Yanzi has been described as "by far the most creative thinker of the Chunqiu age". ❤ nice reaction
You’re on a roll my man - hands down the best reactor out there at the mo - and no wonder it takes you so long to put a video out with all those costume changes 😁
This took me right back to the best mid to late 90s MCs, drum & bass, techno, raves and DJs. Prodigy vibes along with countless others I can't even begin to remember in my old age 😂
This one has that beat that just makes you want to move! Ren and Viktus really impressed me with this one! Love your energy and breakdowns and your knowledge is endless! Oh yes, fun outfit changes! BTW, this is your channel so do it your way cause it is cool and fun! ❤
Best and hilarious reaction and you got most of the references!! You are the first one to get the double D line!!His 'bending beats like Uri Geller' ...thats a 'magician' who was very famous in UK in the 90's and used to bend spoons!
Beretta as in gun m9, shotgun etc but also rapping cinderella (fairytale) the tales of Jenny and Screech! He's just too damn clever! Great reaction. I love you interpretation and energy 😊
Awesome reaction, loving the break downs and the energy. Viktus also has his own channel if you feel like giving him a sub. He announced a song coming out soon 😊
Loved your reaction! One of the best I’ve seen ❤. You definitely should check out Vik’s music. He kept up with Ren on this track, which says a lot. Keep up the good work ❤. And props for two wardrobe changes 😂
i always enjoy your reactions so much. i really appreciate your break downs cuz i don't catch the references very well. and most importantly, thanks for the smiles!! kathleen
I love, love, love your reactions❤❤❤. Makes me smile and dance all the way through😅. And as i'm not a native speaker, i really appreciate your pausing and ex planations very much!
Yan Ying - a dark ages Chinese politician-statesman. Not a ruler though. But I wished he had picked... Yang Ying - top-tier ping pong athlete from China. Her career peaked 1977-1979 but lasted until the late 1990s. Then Ren would have been a sports history teacher, too.
Love your reactions. Only a couple of references you missed. Yan yin was a famous philosopher. Clue-do, is actually cluedo the Board game. He didnt stick a random o on the end 😂 And Frank Bruno is a British boxer. But you can easily miss certain references that are more familiar with us in the UK. You are a joy to watch. Thank you for this. 😊
Think this is Vik's time to shine - would be great if you could react to his song My Recital : Chapter 1 - so raw, personal, full of pain and passion - it stopped me in my tracks when I heard it.
Nice one as always! Concerning the Stella - Interstellar bars - Stella is also Italian for a star - so there's a double here IMHO. Cheers from Germany - S to the V
Haha! So love your reactions, my kindred brother! Exactly! Go buy the song or stream it or watch the video on ren’s channel! I watched an interview with Knox hill and that’s what he used to get all the time, oh you pause too much, but he decided to keep doing his thing and look at him now! You’re unique and your energy is infectious! I’m ready to go to the club with you!😂 seriously keep doing you and you’re gonna be hitting bigger numbers in no time! And omg I’m a huge lord of the rings nerd, thanks for catching the Moria line! This song had me nerdgasming all over!! 😅
Oooh nice catch with the lightsabers vs glow sticks! King of the glow sticks! My overall impression of the lyrics is that it's two guys having a verbal boxing/sumo/judo match while hanging out together, no women in sight at all. 😂 And the best part is that imo their biggest disses are self-owns. What y'all think, am I onto something? It all fits with Vik's low-key style of humor which can be seen in his work with another of Ren's friends, Joe Flack, over on Flackerzfotos.
@@snakevenomv Ren urgently busting (chop chop!) through the front door like a (slowww-moving) millipede just cracks me up. Oh, maybe a humorous take on how slowly he is taking over the music scene due to his illness?! Aah I love this song!
Danggg I’ve actually been a little disappointed with reactors breaking down this particular song, but you nailed it and then some! Love when I can learn from someone else’s perspective 🤗 also I really enjoyed your energy 😎
Cluedo is its original name, but known as Clue in North America. Cluedo (a play on "clue" and "Ludo", the Latin word for "I play. Also Frank Bruno is a former British Heavyweight Boxer.
I could be wrong, but pretty sure Ren only does judo by flipping words. But who knows maybe he wouldn’t mind some lessons? 😅 No matter how many times I hear this song I just can’t get over Ren calling Vik a geek as a diss after he himself dropped bars referencing Moria and Naruto 😂 I think it’s fair to call them both geeks after this track and I love it 🤓 Also you should definitely check out Viktus though there are only a couple of live versions on his channel. So far. As I understand it he is working on an album and MVs for it. But let’s just say that both Ren and Vik probably needed to just have fun on this track together.
Judo is also an art of turning an enemy's attack against them, redirecting their momentum in a harmless direction. Kinda like battle rap, using the enemy's own words to destroy them...
Hi @snakevenomv! Thanks for your comments on many of the 'new generation' references (I'm already an old wine) and in games, comics and cartoons I reached the 90s at most (without much depth). Here I leave you all a reference that nobody or almost nobody discovered in all the reactions I've seen. Vik's line about the dentist and nitrous gas is a reference to the 80s cult film 'Little Shop of Horrors' directed by Frank Oz. The movie is pretty freaky and it's a horror musical. The protagonist, Seymour Krelborn (Rick Moranis) is in love with and secretly desires Audrey (Ellen Greene), a co-worker who is the girlfriend of Orin Scrivelli (Steve Martin), a sadistic dentist who is addicted to nitrous gas or laughing gas and uses a mask that administers him the gas while torturing his patients.... and the line connects with Vik's sexual prank with Ren's girl (make the wish come true and have sex with another's woman). Spyro's line, etc... would have been more accurate if instead of Frodo, Vik had mentioned Bilbo Baggins because the one who had an adventure with a dragon was Bilbo in the Hobbit (book and movie)... but I don't know how would that have worked with the rhyming thing because I'm not an expert on that subject. It was also hinted in one of Joe and Vik's latest videos that Vik has or is going to have sex with Joe's mom... and it seems the joke is spreading and Vik is on his way to becoming the infamous 'Back Door Man' (in Argentina we colloquially call him 'el pata de lana' [literally 'who has feet of wool'] because he runs away in socks, without putting on his shoes, so as not to make noise and be discovered.
